Princess Tessy - The Princess Diary - November 2004 November 30 17:22 Early bedtime here today so we get time for many many *hugs*  November 30 11:39 We slept so extra nice last night, probably because big Mr Bear slept on the outside of bed guarding his two favourite ladies. I dont know, mostly i want to sleep on the outside because i would just be sad if Mr Bear or Lady Bear was pushed out of the cozy bed. It never happened yet but i dont ever want it to be how a hugbear wakes up, falling on the floor. *hugs* But sometimes i sleep closes to the wall and Mr Bear takes the outside where he wants to be. Because i learned a long time ago i can keep the bed covers extra carefully around Mr Bear then he is safe from being pushed out of bed by me in case i move around a lot while sleeping. And anyway, it is so nice to wake up with Mr Bear there. Sorry guys... but so far no guy (or girl) can beat Mr Bear he is the huggiest nicest company i can have sleeping on my pillows. Lady Bear too thinks it is nice to have Mr Bear sleeping at the outside half of bed. Hmm i dont know what to write more, but i will really miss leaving my hugfriends even one night. But i - Argh! the keyboard froze again and i couldnt finish typing. I managed to save the note with only the mouse, i copied the note to a text file wich i managed to save by copying a word (outside) into the filename thing. So that kvm switch is annoying now... it seems the keyboard stops working as soon as any of the lights on keyboard get active, wich happens if i touch the Caps Lock while typing...  I was so annoyed, i thought i had lost the whole note about our nice sleeping arrangements. I have to fix this some way later. Anyway tomorrow it is travel time again, and painful treatment time... and no i still wont bother to write what it is. But its very important, that is why i do it. It is very painful and costs quite a lot too. But Mr Bear says its not something i should have to care about, he is so kind when i need moneys from the treasury for important things. *hugs* Anyway so i will be gone from any possible live picture for a while, but instead of this last weekend you can visit our little happy castle in about two weeks. Then we will have all the christmas smileys visiting and when i come home from the traveling this week i will get our little sparkly christmas tree from the storage room. I cant wait to see it in my room again, we really think its nice. Ofcourse first thing after i get home from traveling will be about a hundred *hugs* with all my hugfriends. I bought some salty peanuts for Mr Bear and chocolates for them both so they have something nice to eaty while i am away too. Hmm well perhaps i stop writing now, if i can find energy i will write emails later today.November 29 21:39 We are so tired here it will be nice with early bedtime. Good night. *hugs* November 29 16:52 So i tried the kvm switching and it works fine. Almost. I guess its the long cables to into my room that makes things not work as expected again, some trouble with the new keyboard also as i wrote about earlier that one didnt want to work. Strange enough the new keyboard did work better with the kvm switch, but it stopped working on computer nr 2 after i typed some characters in a little note so i guess its best to use the old anyway... But the thing is, that computer switch is supposed to remember keyboards and that when changing computer, and it does have switching with special key combinations. That works. But... If i start computer X, then switch to computer Y, if i go back to computer X, then the keyboard doesnt work. And ofcourse if i then move to computer Y again, the keyboard doesnt work there either. Its like, if i leave one of the computers the keyboard stops working on that computer. The mousie works fine though, and video isnt a problem either. Just the stupid keyboard things... I will try connecting without the 10 meter long cables only to test if that is the reason for the sort of forgotten keyboards when switching. Except for that it seems to be a useful little thing for anyone with more than one computer brainy. I watched the Timeline movie earlier it wasnt so great though, i thought it would be interesting with time traveling and such but it wasnt. Maybe i was just thinking too much of two hugbears who are having a cozy day in my bed and i want to go there too. Its just so nice to keep all our noses close and think happy thoughts. I really dont want to leave my hugfriends alone at home, but before i go they will get so many hugs maybe they need some rest from me anyway. November 29 11:37 There was some Internet problems earlier today, support said it wasnt the network but something else and suggested i reinstall drivers, reinstall Windows, or (!!) format the harddrive. How clever are some people who work at big companies phone support? Sure, a network card driver (or something in Windows) could break while one uses the computer, but that is quite unlikely. Formatting the computer and starting from a clean Windows, well that is just a stupid option for them to give someone with the problem of not getting an IP number... Anyway me and the little webmaster thought we may as well get the second computer running today then, to see if that one gets an IP. I mean, it is easy to test what is wrong with two working computers and too much network cards and things lying around from older days. Anyway the second computer got a dvd drive and harddrive and after Windows was installed sure it got an IP. So then i switched on my usual computer again, and it too got an IP. Strange hmm... perhaps they got more complaints about network problems while i got another computer running, so they fixed whatever was wrong. Or did the driver or Windows itself get mysteriously repaired because i took away the power from it some hours while bothering with second computer and having lunch.  Next time there is a problem, i will already have two computers connected and if support then gives me stupid suggestions i will tell them to wise up or get a new job. So there. Anyway what i realised with two computers since i havent got another dvd drive to use in both, i moved the one from mine to the second. I dont need those much anyway, except to install programs. I just looked and see dvd burner drives arent so expensive, and so i guess my older expensive scsi cd burner wich has almost not been used, is a bit old nowadays. One dvd sure can keep more data than a cdrom, so i think dvd would be better for backup copies. And also for making mp3 to play from computer instead of normal cds, one full dvd would be a whole cd collection for sure probably space for 100 music cds if made mp3s from. Oh well, i will bother with the second computer a bit and make it useful doing what it is ment to do... work. To try and not think too much about the next treatment on Wednesday i will maybe continue then and watch movies and more movies. Titles i might watch today are Timeline, Troy, Van Helsing, and whatever else i can find in our library. November 28 16:40 Bourne Supremacy was a good action movie, now we all need another rest from looking at so many movies. We have some *hugs* so the eyes can rest a while. November 28 14:41 Hmm, the Fahrenheit movie just made me angry again... shame on you Mr Bush. I probably forgot i also saw the Supersize Me movie today it wasnt a surprise how the results of 30 days on Mc Donalds 'diet' were. I dont eat such things often, i cant remember ever eating fast food burgers or so more than perhaps two times in one month. The easy hint is to... not eat french fries those are extremely fatty. And drink water or milk or anything else than a huge coca cola, because fat and sugar combined is the reason the Mc Donalds meals arent good. Anyway one thing that almost shocked me is how it works in some (or most?) American schools. The cafeteria had like... candies and pizza slices and just lots of junk food things for lunches. In that movie it seemed like a revolution when one school actually had healthy food served, i mean sure there are complaints about school food here it isnt the most expensive or well cooked lunches perhaps. But at least it is real food and vegetables and things more easily available than candies. Somehow im not surprised about the numbers of fat people in America these latest years, its scary really. Stop eating so much fat and sugar, especially not so much sugar. And for gods sake, leave the car at home and use your feet! I could go by car to shop food, or a taxi if i am lazy. But i walk, i carry food bags home and enjoy (if nice weather) a 2x20 minute walk every time me and the hugfriends need more food for the kitchen. Oh well... enough about hose movies. We like our home made healthy hamburgers here a lot more than any greasy Mc Donalds type things. Hmm, i remember they even have sugar in their salads... November 28 11:45 Well that robots movie wasnt great but worth watching to the end ut least. Maybe i didnt want to see all the end of the aliens movie because i figured there would only be more monsters and fighting as that movie got closer to the end, and i dont like monsters much... i like funny things most, and romantic movies and other things but scary things just isnt a favourite. So far i would put The Terminal as the best from yesterday and today. Now there are two more movies waiting to be seen, Bourne Supremacy wich i think is some action movie, and Fahrenheit 911. Maybe even more movies later i thought it could be fun to escape to movie world this weekend. November 28 09:35 Friday was really fun, we went to another restaurant that at least i never visited before. But i had looked on their menu on webpages before so i knew they had nice food. I got a really nice little gift from mom and now i just feel extra happy. Yesterday i didnt do much mostly i was with my two best hugfriends we were a bit lazy and so. Then i thought it could be nice having a real movie weekend, so i am watching this and that movie at home. So far i watched Alien vd Predator wich was not much interesting, just scary monsters and i didnt care to see the whole ending of it... Now i just watched The Terminal wich i read about earlier and thought was interesting. I think it was good and a lot more worth watching than the aliens yesterday. Now i continue and see something else, I Robot wich i know has Will Smith and robots in it. Hope that has at least some fun in it, i would guess there is some jokes in there somewhere... November 26 13:36 I might actually try some of that expensive caviar this evening, i never did so far because i dont think its so yummy its actually worth the many moneys. But then again why not taste it sometime, lets just hope i dont love it because Mr Bear would not like russian (or iranian) caviar to be something i want too often. *hugs* Anyway its a good little food bit i know goes well with champagne so this evenings dinner will probably end up costing quite a lot sorry Mr Bear... *hugs* anyway i am a Princess and this evenings dinner is actually a late celebration of my birthday wich apparently only one person from the Internet remembered. Hmm? *hugs* to Jeff thank you for the emails. I will get back to computer corner tomorrow, now i listen to party music and get ready for the evening. Hope everyone has nice days. November 26 10:07 We waked up now so guess i better do something to keep me busy until evening fun. And i have to eat something before restaurant visit too or i will run into their kitchen and *grompf* something eatable... First i need a warm bath, then guess i could continue the food shopping mission that for interupted twice and never finished. Anyway since i will be going away for another treatment next week that means no live camera will be on for about two weeks around that. Nothing to do about it, i have to do what i do and the secret reasons i want to be alone after them are obvious to me and also the hugbears. So i will try and make it neat in our room here so the camera can be on over the weekend instead. Then begins also the nice christmas times we cant wait to bring up the little sparkling christmas tree again. And so there will be christmas spirits around here and also in the homepage about December 13-14 or so, wich is just after the St Lucia day. By that time maybe i have figured out how to use the new webcamera, because i got the clever idea to use it mostly only for tax paying Citizens. Why? Well, because i bought it for those who want to visit ut, and those who really like the Happy World and me, can get a better look through the new snooping eye. I dont care too much about anyone anonymous actually visiting the Happy World castle, and that is actually the main reason the better view of us here will be reserved for those who really like us. *hugs* I forgot about the webthing surprises that were supposed to appear some weekend ago but perhaps this weekend i can get something interesting done instead. Oh and Mr Bear says we need to get some of that gluhwein the warmed spicy wine drink sort of. He is right that really adds to the scent of christmas. Last year we only had non-alcoholic gluhwein but this year Mr Bear wants to warm himself and his best friends with a normal mix so we maybe try some different. Perhaps we should do like some newspapers already did and do some serious testing the different bottles could get 1 to 5 smiles. Maybe the bottle with most alcohol makes for the most giggles here in the castle... but that wouldnt give it more smiley points. I think, if the one with no alcohol tastes nicer and smells nicer it would win. Oh well... that is for maybe next weekend i will go see in the swedish Systembolaget before i travel away on the second treatment. Oops this was a long note. Hmm, my right arm has some strange pain in it. I dont know where it came from and it is annoying, hope it goes away soon maybe Mr Bear can help. *hugs* Oh! We saw the Care Bears cartoon early in morning tv some few days, i have to remember and try to see it more times it was a nice way to wake up. Last we saw one blue bear found hug-crystals that made a badguy turn all nice and friendly. Imagine if there was such hug-crystals in the real world how great that would be... i sort of wish there would be such crystals, and enough of them to cover the whole world! That would make everyone friendly and kind to each other. It would stop a lot of negative things happening in the world for sure. I think there are some few hug-crystals hiding in my crown actually, but they arent enough to help the world and also they like being in the Happy World crown it is the most honorable place to rest for a hug-crystal. November 26 05:58 To not get tired in the afternoon me and hugbears will rest a while soon, then we should be happy and awake until normal evening hours again. Anyway one fun thing with being awake this early is me and Mr Bear can read the morning newspaper first of everyone. Well maybe some working people also get up early, but i will keep Mr Bear company while he reads the news. Anyway i need some rest because in evening me and mom are going to a yummylicious restaurant and i dont want to be tired then. November 26 01:13 I am so annoyed with the sleeping hours again. Morning now? No thank you... Anyway i am a bit tired of computer now, but i also tried to record a little video clip with the new webcamera and i think it will be a lot more useful for that. That is because of the same reason it is better also for watching my room, it sees colour better in normal light. It seems to adjust for darkness by adding video frames together though, same when watching live, wich means images with lot of movement can then get blurred. But i will try more with that later no video clip for you today. *blrrp* But soon. November 25 06:21 Strange, now the awake and sleepy hours have moved backwards instead... i got sleepy 3 in afternoon yesterday and after some *hugs* with my hugfriends we fell asleep. So i waked up late in evening and was awake in night trying to do some useful things. For breakfast i ate one of Harolds yummy pies i will show it later in the story pages. This was a salmon and shrimps pie with vegetables too but i dont know the english names for those. I think Harold has friends who help him catch shrimps and fishes to bake pies, especially shrimps i think could be tricky for a big dragon to catch himself. Anyway we love his pies and muffins here in the castle. Since i got sleepy in the middle of the food shopping mission yesterday i will continue today so it gets done. November 24 12:43 First walk i carried home about 100$ of frozen things for our freezer, that got quite heavy and sure was a bit of tiresome to carry home it is about 15 to 20 minutes walk. And i didnt eat anything before i left wich i remembered so i also got some things to make sandwiches, i will really need some energy to get out again and carry home more food for us in the little castle. Now i feel more like a little rest on the bed but after the frozen food shopping there are more to do, like lots of dry things, and ofcourse the candies chocolates and chips kind of things. I actually took some things out from a mostly unused cupboard in the kitchen, down there me and the hugfriends will have a big candy storage so we always have something for cozy evenings. I just hope the Garfields dont snoop in there or all the candies could be gone when Mr Bear want some of them and i go to look. But i will tell the hungry cats to ask me if they want something from the kitchen. They already noticed i got two frozen lasagna for the freezer... but not for today such things are for days when nobody feel like cooking anything, then some ready made food is quite nice to have. November 24 10:53 Weather is getting better today so i will have some exercise continuing the big food shopping for out kitchen. Since i walk i will have to go some times because i cant carry too much each time, but then i will get a lot of fresh air same time so i dont mind much. I also saw in tv news the cold comes back in just a day or two, me and all hugfriends should have lots of food and candy things close then. Because when it is a bit too cold for my liking we want to stay inside and have nice days until it gets a bit less freezing temperatures. After carrying home lots of eatable things i will probably have a nice warm bath, and then if i have energy i create the last planned cozy cloak so my wardrobe has what i want. November 23 15:00 Finished the second green cloak. Well the hand sewing is left to do but the rest is done i realised christmas is getting closer and so the cloak wich isnt mine should be sent soon to not get stuck in christmas postal crowds. Well i dont know if lots of people send things around before christmas perhaps it is mostly christmas cards but anyway. I am still thinking about trying to create also the white cloak today but its nicer to not do the same thing a whole day, so now maybe me and hugbears just have nice hugs on the bed a while. I saw in tv news about elections in Ukraine, so bad when democracy is thrown away by selfish people in power who want to stay 'up there'. That is as we figured why politicians should only get One period as president or whatever, then they can do good while they have their time to make decisions, and dont have to worry or care about the next election. Since they wouldnt be part of it. I know now that America has a two period limit or something so Bush cant win again but i still think one period would be better. I notice it here too, before next president elections all the politicians just worry about the elections and what fake promises and things they need to tell everyone about to try and win votes. Its just silly really. In the Happy World i have a life long time of ruling so no such elections here. That doesnt mean we dont have a democracy though... How? Well because nobody in the Happy World wants anyone else to rule them. If you think otherwise, i am quite sure you are not a Citizen... November 22 22:55 Bedtime for us in the Happy World castle. Its so nice to go to bed in the evening again, and i even set some beeps to wake me up in the morning so i dont loose the normal sleepy hours again by getting up in the afternoon. Hope everyone has nice days. *hugs* November 22 18:34 I finished the first green cloak today, except the closure wich is hand sewing i will save that for last because it is a nice thing to do with two friendly hugbears for company in sofa. Tomorrow i plan to finish also the second green cloak wich is for Prince Louric so he too can get warmed by something i created. I will also sew a white cloak for me and then i dont need more cloaks unless i want one to match a dress in some special way or so, otherwise black goes with almost anything and i have two of that most useful colour. Now i rest a while with Mr Bear and Lady Bear, they are both hiding under the bed cover today and look really happy. I think they too like to be awake in the day hours again and not follow my strange hours earlier. Maybe i even find energy in some nice hugs so i finish the second green cloak today, who knows. November 22 11:45 I think i try to get some sewing done today so the headache doesnt come back from staring at computer monitor. I have to clean the floor first also because the cozy cloaks are huge when laid out flat no table is big enough, unless its a really big table. Anyway its nice to be awake in the day again. November 22 10:24 The headache seems like it could come back any time so i will avoid computer mostly today. But i got back here to make a hotel reservation for the next treatment so i can rest a while before traveling home again. I dont want to leave the ghubears alone at home even one night, i will really miss them. But they say they will be fine and wait for me to come back home. And they also have each other so they arent alone. Besides they know from the first treatment i went to, that doing all the long traveling in one day made me really tired. I remember i left early morning and think i got home around midnight. Anyway that is next week not today. November 22 07:27 Yesterday was mostly boring i slept in the day and when i waked up i had a headache, probably from too much hours in the warm bed. So i didnt do much i decided to just try and sleep more until the morning. I know if the headache was from too much sleep ofcourse sleeping more wouldnt help, but now it is morning and after eating a very early breakfast the head feels better. I dont know what to do with today though, as usual so many things i could do but i cant decide what. The winter cold doesnt go away either so i want to stay inside, but i also want to visit city or find yummy things in the food shop or just go out for a walk. But seriously, when it is colder than 10 degrees C (not those F degrees) then i prefer to stay inside as much as possible. November 21 02:49 Me and hugbears saw the end of the movie Leon on tv, it is sort of sad and then i thought of some sad things and wanted some bear hugs. So we had some rest on the bed under a cozy cloak, nobody felt much like watching tv anyway. We had some candles to watch instead and then we got sleepy and i just waked up now. Candles are ofcourse of a sort that arent dangerous to leave alone i dont know the english name. Anyway maybe we stay in a sleepy mode here until morning then i can try to wake up better as sun rises. I am almost thinking my sleepyness lately is because of too little sunshine and too little eating. So maybe i have a serious *grompf* eating day tomorrow. Maybe 1000 watt light from the photo studio corner could help too but that is fake sunshine light so not the same. Now i am just listening to DI radio to wake up better, while writing with a nice friend in the ICQ. There are friendly hugfriends outside my little castle too, that is so nice to know. Me and the hugbears even visited her room and said hello to each other that was when i was trying the Netmeeting program with webcamera. November 21 00:10 I guess i fell asleep today again... i will just stop trying. If i sleep when i get tired and wake up when rested sometime later maybe the mornings end up in the morning hours again. November 20 09:58 Good morning hugfriends. *hugs* I got up early today because i couldnt sleep well in the night. I think the hours are getting back to normal now though. I decided to try also the tv cable for computer this morning, i actually though i could watch some movie. Strange thing is, i thought the cable would be least possibility of not working as expected since its only a cable. I worried a bit more about the new webcamera or that switch thingy, but both those seem to work well. The cable didnt work, or at least i couldnt get any computer picture on the tv. The tv has no connector for the video cable, only a Scart thing and the video cable isnt like that one. So i found the older and almost never used lately vcr and that has such a conenctor. So i put those together and expected an image but nothing, just the blue nothingness... stupid. Oh well, i could look for some dvd player later instead no hurry. Movies are best at the movie theatres anyway. Not sure if i feel like bothering with the second computer today so maybe i get busy sewing instead as i wanted to get some things done for a long time now. Or try to finish the Half Life 2 game. Or go to bed and give two hugbears lots of hugs. Maybe i just do nothing... its nice to do 'nothing' also, even if it is impossible. November 19 23:06 I bothered to try the kvm switch too, its a lot of cables... but i read the manual and it should be possible when i get the second pc working too, to switch between them with a special keyboard command, using some button i never used before. Scroll-lock twice within 2 seconds, then a number from 1-4 to switch to that computer brain. Clever, i hope it works with the other computer too, perhaps i go get a dvd drive tomorrow so i get all this done. Hmm, the little food shop is open late on Fridays and tomorrow too, maybe we should have some candies. Oh yes, Mr Bear says we need some candies and things then i have to go outside in the cold some few minutes again. November 19 22:18 I played that game until normal breakfast time, but i didnt get to the end it is a long game and also tricky. Anyway then i had a nice warm bath and was there a long time. Then i got tired and rested a while on bed with two huggy hugbears. And then watched some tv, and then since i hadnt got out earlier i decided to face the winter cold... so i walked to get the package with computer things. I assume the cable going to the tv will work, so i tried the new webcamera first and it seems to work as i hoped a new good webcamera would. It sees things, even when i turn off the ceiling light and keep only the bed lamp on it can see things. The colours get worse with low light but that isnt strange, still way better than the other new webcamera i got some year ago to replace the oldest. Wich never happened because the oldest was better adjusting to day/night lights and such. And the new camera works with my usb cables so i dont think that should be a problem either. It was cold outside, i want a cup of warm whatever-the-name warm berry soup is now. Bedtime before midnight so i can wake up and have a normal morning again. And then i hope the hours dont get turned upside down again, not too quickly anyway. I will open the kvm switch thingy too but no use bothering with trying it now, maybe tomorrow.November 18 21:57 No more buying gowns for modeling fun from eBay, it seems i dont have the best luck with clothes fitting me perfectly... i guess i cant expect that but it gets a bit annoying. Yesterday one dress was too small, and the other was too big. Also no mentioning of a flaw wich isnt much noticeable but i dont like it anyway. So rest assured in the future i will only model proper custom made gowns or other clothes from normal shopping. Only things i will get from eBay is some funny things. Anyway it is freeeezing cold outside i think tomorrow i forget the healthy walking around outside and stay in the warm royal limousine instead... Wonder if the little computer shop owner will be surprised when we stop outside tomorrow to get a little dvd drive. Or the food shop perhaps. *giggles* Anyway i know its really cold because i went out to the mini shop close by to get coca cola and some paprika Pringles for the night. I got this silly and a bit crazy idea to stay up another night and once again be tired tomorrow. To try and make hours right again quickly. I thought to stay up and play that Half Life 2 game until i finish it wich probably takes well enough until tomorrow i read it is a big game. And it gets difficult too. Oh well... i just noticed hours fly away when trying to get further in that game so probably a good way to 'waste' hours. I told Mr Bear to hit me in the head if i sleep tomorrow and dont get anything done. I dont think he will do that but i hope he at least wakes me up some nice way if i fall asleep. I am so tired of myself not having enough self motivation to stay active. I will end up with a serious case of couch potatoe if i continue like this... not in my plans. Perhaps me and hugbears should travel south to find warmness and sunshine, escape the swedish winter. November 18 19:35 Another strange sleepy day, it seems i am right back where i was before the one day where i could wake up in the morning 8 and go to bed in the evening. Today i waked up earlier too, but somehow i got really tired and have been sleeping on the sofa and bed with two huggy hugbears mostly until now. I dont know why i am so tired, it could be the winter darkness or whatever. If it continues i guess i could try and sleep the night away too, i will try that. So nothing done today, i wanted to do sewing. Anyway it is really cold outside the winter suddenly decided to come here. And the lot of food shopping i was going to do isnt done either, bad planning or too much tiredness i guess. I saw in tv weather news this week would begin with little cold then get really cold by today and tomorrow. So i had thought to carry home frozen things and whatever before today. Oh well, there is ofcourse always something to eat in the kitchen. So far today i only had a big cup of warm chocolate with the hugbears. I looked now and the new computer things are at the postal sercie pickup place, but i think the little paper for it comes tomorrow. It seems to work that way, the package arrives one day, they send the paper with payment info and such and then one can get it the next day. Wich means there is always one day lost for anyone wanting a package quickly... I dont need this today though, too tired.  No maybe i wake up now and cant sleep in the night even if i want to continue being tired until the morning. Anyway i also havent got to the computer shop to get another dvd reader thingy for the second computer so no hurry. Guess i will have to get outside in the cold winter to do that, and i should also get some frozen food for the freezer. I dont know if i will get much more done today than enjoying the day, but that is also something to do. I will try to get started with the cozy cloak sewing though, so i get all those i planned to create myself so far done. November 17 11:38 Wee! Finally we waked up in the morning hours again. Not so fun i had to use beeps to wake up at 8 but Mr Bear too looked tired when we waked up. I let him rest while i got up and now he is also awake on the bed. I finally visited city to help Mr Bear with a little bank thingy wich i was supposed to do a week ago but no hurry Mr Bear is happy anyway. I also got a package with a new dress wich was pretty and for sale in auctions earlier. Unfortunatly it didnt fit me so good, size was what i normally wear, waist was fine, but the bust and above was made for someone smaller than me. Bad luck i guess, but i think i could squeeze into it someday to make a photo or two. Some of those findings i do in eBay and other places dont cost so much anyway its no big deal. Lady Bear thinks the dress looked really pretty though, she too think it was bad luck it didnt fit me better. *hugs* November 16 18:39 Between game hours we have nice hugs here. It is getting more difficult i was lost with the air boat being chased by some angry helicopter, i finally found where to go it took a lot of searching because the helicopter made me stressed and confused. And there is no map function that i know of, not even a compass. Anyway a little more of the game then i go to bed with two hugbears and probably sleep early. Other little news, the computer things we ordered lately (new webcamera, kvm switch, tv cable) is beginning the travel to our castle i saw that in tracking service. It should be here to pay for on Friday i think, so i can try and get things working all weekend... well i hope i dont have to bother with such things next weekend, i hope all things work as they should. November 16 15:23 I waked up some time ago and no feeling sick anymore. I was surprised because i moved from sofa to bed so i could hide under the bed covers close to hugbears, and when i waked up i thought like... ok now its probably 2 in the night or something like that. But the clock said 15 something, so somehow i waked up after a little resting. Maybe it was Mr Bear who waked me up nicely so i can get normal sleepy hours again. I think i will just jump into the game world again so it keeps me busy until early evening hours. I feel tired so i sure dont mind going to bed early today. November 16 12:49 I feel sick.  I dont know where it came from, probably not that computer game because that is sort of cool. But i just feel sick i noticed it quite suddenly and so i have to leave computer alone. I usually go to bed if i feel sick but today i am supposed to absolutely not sleep in the day... hmm. Well i will rest on the sofa a little and hope the sickness goes away. Anyway that game is really tricky, not only shooting but so far also some puzzles to solve to go forward. They have at least used the special possibilities that real physics make possible, anyone playing will notice. So far i got some way with an air boat or something, and to some gates that need opening. But my hero died there and since i feel sick quite suddenly i wont try that part again right now.November 16 09:13 So there, like many others i have waited for the release of Half Life 2 and now it is unlocking the preloaded files, wich takes a bit of time. I feel a bit geeky waiting for a game like this, but its not because i am like other so called 'hardcore gamers' who have waited for this sequel some years. Its because i will use this game to get to the evening without sleeping away any day hours. Well, that is if the game is interesting enough but i assume it is. Far Cry was really cool experience in single player, to be the hero and so. I dont think so much about the shooting then, its sort of like an action movie and besides it is just games. However i dont get why there are so many shooting games as if war and violence is something one has to play games with to be 'entertained'... i mean, if i want to see people getting shot i can watch tv news. And there should be a grumpy there, because there is still bad news from here and there in the world. But anyway, i hope this game is good = has a good story to make the shooting action motivated. Anyone who saw the video clips i shared at Princess Gaming will realise the graphics and sound probably are some of the best to find at the moment. Next game i will actually wait for and try to get as quickly as possible, is ofcourse Oblivion. And that is for another reason than this game wich is todays stay-awake pill. If it gets boring, or too difficult or something then i will have to drink coffee and do sewing. But i plan to do the sewing tomorrow, after a normal nights sleep. They have been awake with me the last days but now they too want normal days and they can do that easier than me. November 15 18:05 I am getting annoyed with myself... i must have too much sleepyness in me lately. Nothing done today, i was up in the morning and had breakfast after only a little rest in the night. I kept myself busy a while but after i ate i got sleepy. So then plan to visit city and then go home to do sewing ended up sleeping another whole day. I made the decision this morning to try and be awake without any coffee because i dont really like that, and i thought the daylight and doing things would keep me awake. But apparently i should have had coffee. Now i am so annoyed at how difficult i have getting days to be days again i will drown myself in coffee and not sleep until Tuesday evening. Serious. I read in forums that Half Life 2 game is released 9 in morning here so i could just try and make hours fly tomorrow while diving into that game. I hope that could work. Anyway i really dont like how easy it is to stay up later in evenings and sleep longer in days, all the way to having nights as days and the other way around. I have been up all night watching tv and then mostly doing nothing, because there is no tv too late in the night or too early in the morning. Nothing interesting anyway. So i got the idea to prepare for sewing. And then i tried to play Counterstrike Source wich apparently is an old game with new graphics engine. I am no good with that, it seems really different from the Far Cry shooting game. I mostly dont hit anyone but they shoot me, and i dont know the maps well anyway. I just thought i could practice a little before Half Life 2 is playable. Now i could begin sewing as it is day and the slightly noisy sewing machine doesnt wake up any sleepy hugfriends. But now i am tired, and i think the only way to be up the whole day finishing sewing cozy cloaks, would be coffee wich i dont like much. So i dont know, i will go think about what to do on the sofa a while... If i fall asleep i do, but i have two green cloaks to finish and a white to create from nothing. November 14 00:17 To be nice to Mr Bear *hugs* who takes care of the Happy World treasury, i didnt order a sound card. There is sound in the computer i use already and its ok for games and listening to internet mp3 radio and whatever else. I can get the better sound when i actually have written some new music, it is just for future musics i want as good recording from synth to computer as possible. But that is later, before christmas and new year it would be nice to have other things upgraded. But i will be a little dissapointed if the new webcamera doesnt work well, it did say good pictures even in dark rooms. I want guests to see me and the hugbears also when we have cozy evenings with some candles on sofa table and only the bed lamp is on. November 13 23:51 Me and the little webmaster found something useful for controlling more than one computer brainy, they are called KVM switches so one can have one keyboard, mouse, and monitor, to control more than one computer. I sort of though to maybe just move the cables to the second computer while i get it working for webcamera or whatever, but it sure is more convenient to just plug in that switch with some more cables and then only a button switches what is controlled. I guess it could be confusing if one doesnt make the different computers have a different look in Windows or something. Like, hmm... wich computer am i typing on now this one or the third? Anyway we will probably get a switch for 4 computers, no i dont have that many... but who knows, internet gaming is fun and perhaps we end up with 4 brains in the future. Besides the cost difference between a 2-switch and a 4-switch were no big issue so why not have a little more than required, until maybe useful in the future. We are also thinking about getting that newer better webcamera, and a new sound card for my computer because i will be creative with music again. And cheapest of all, a cable to connect computer video to the tv i forgot about that so many times. Why get that? Well i dont have a dvd player, so to see dvd it would be useful to just put those discs in the computer and watch on the tv. Now i have to watch them on the computer monitor, wich is ok too but the tv screen is bigger. November 13 21:34 Me and hugbears saw a Discovery program about a lion mom who took care of an antilope child for some days. We didnt see much of it but it was so nice to see the little we did, it made us all smile. November 13 19:18 It seems the hours are now almost completely turned around, evening hours are morning hours... oh well, it doesnt matter so much for now. But one think i notice is that i miss the daylight and i get way less done in these 'days' than usual. So i hope i get back to normal hours soon, but i just dont want to bother with too much trying, because it seems to not work easily anyway. I usually sleep when i am tired, eat when i am hungry, and so on, so if i am somedays awake longer than usual i guess that just makes me go to bed later and later, and then i sleep longer in mornings/days ofcourse. Maybe if that Half Life 2 game is really good (as most people think it will be) then i can use that to turn hours back, just by playing it until i fall asleep on the keyboard. Anyway... we saw a funny movie with Jackie Chan yesterday or rather in the middle of night, Who Am I, or something like that. At least that martial arts movie was funny, and i think i saw some other with him that was also quite funny. And now well... i just decided to go ahead and buy a Shareware software that i tried, and that will be useful. Ok so now some people say... you can find games, Photoshop, movies, and anything at all really, shared on those P2P networks. I know that, i even have DC although i really dont use it much. I can download movies faster than most people in the world, thanks to the broadband internet we have in Sweden. Lots of people have it too. But i am one of those who believe useful things are ment to be paid for, because someone bothered to create them for me/you/whoever and so there is no defense for software pirates really. The usual words some try to hide behind? Games cost so much (50$) and my answer to any software pirate? "If you would work picking apples 40 hours per week, and then everyone who wanted an apple just stole it from what you picked every day, would you like that? Because then you would end up picking yummy apples for everyone, for free, because the apple tree owner wouldnt have any apples to sell, to pay any salary." So i pay for what i find useful, mostly. Note that i am not completely against file sharing though. Technically it is probably illegal to save a movie that i saw on TV and liked, but i have done that some few times because if i had bothered in advance i would have recorded the movie to VHS anyway. So in that case i dont see a difference, it is just downloading a recording i could have made myself with better planning. Also once or twice i save a movie i know is good, but wich is difficult to find on DVD here and so i keep it in the computer until i can find a disc. Wich in one case seems to be forever... but anyway, i paid 25$ for a rather simple but useful Shareware program today. And even if i can make a sure bet the Half Life 2 game and almost any other future popular game gets pirated, i still say, buy them if you want them. Or at least buy them after you played a pirated copy, just because... nobody likes to work for free, picking apples, or writing computer games/software. Yes there is corporate greed too... but that is another issue, and trying to fight greed with illegal activity isnt ok. Bla bla bla... November 12 19:16 I want chocolates! Sometimes i get those ideas... and now i really want a box of chocolates, or two. November 12 19:01 Oh, the sleepy hours went strange quickly and i dont get much done anywhere. But we have nice days (or nights) here anyway. Yesterday one thing i did was sew a cloak clasp (closure) on my second black cloak. Its same as the first except no fur around the hood, and a silver clasp instead of gold. Anyway when i was going to sew the second part of it to its side close to the neck it ended up at the top of the hood instead... i would say i must have been sleepy to do that, because i usually do everything carefully when sewing. Hmm, but somehow i just felt for the hood seam and ended up at the top, and then just matched it to the first clasp and got busy with the hand sewing... Ofcourse i had to undo that silly mistake and put it where it should be but it was a really silly surprise i wont do it again, hand sewing isnt so much fun i want to do things twice. I havent gotten away to buy any computer things or bother with the second pc, and so there will be a delay in live camera probably not today. But since my 'day' will be in the night perhaps i can get the old camera working a little. Hope everyone has nice days. *hugs* November 10 16:09 As i knew, bothering to open lots of ftp file transfers over the atlantic worked fine all the way up to 10Mbit, so there really is some silly speed limit per moved file. I havent moved so big files before so it never bothered me much but with these games and things... Then comes the big question, if we upgrade the Internet connection in the castle to 100Mbit wich is possible, can i somehow get rid of that ftp speed limit and send big files at full speed over the atlantic. That would be nice. November 10 15:53 After this video file is moved i will do an experiment, lets see... hmm, if i open about 15 ftp programs and move 15 big files at the same time and they move to America at 10Mbps then i know there is some stupid speed limit per file. I know many people dont think 80kb/s is slow but... Anyway the trailer for Everquest 2 sort of makes me want to dive into that world. But i dont know if i should, because it is sure to be addictive. November 10 15:45 I dont get it, when i send those big files through FTP the speed is never faster than 80kb per second. But the server i know has a 100Mbit network connection, and i have a 10Mbit connection, and if i send several files at the same time in several FTP sessions the speed is usually 80kb per second on all of them... But there seems to be some stupid limit per file transfer, i dont think anyone decided it should be there. I guess someone will have to dive into Linux soon and fix this because i dont like slow moving files, at least not big files like the soon uploaded Everquest 2 Video! November 10 03:06 No sleeping here. Its sort of strange to begin a day with a night, but i think its the quickest way to get back to normal sleepy hours. Unless i end up like once earlier, when i stayed awake over a night to the next evening and then apparently was so tired i once again slept to the afternoon and was right back to where i started. But at least now i know that can happen, so maybe i ask the annoying alarm beeps to wake me up in the morning. Getting up in the morning obviously didnt work today, but that wasnt so big surprise since me and hugbears couldnt sleep until maybe 5 or 6 in the morning. Anyways i tried to be a little useful so i put some clothes in the washing machine earlier and now i go get them from the drying thing. I remember now also, if i get a new better webcamera perhaps i go ahead and get a steering wheel thing for car games. I bet its a lot more easy and also more fun to play car games and not have to use a keyboard. I also remembered now there are chess and other board games i could play with Citizens on MSN game zone or what it is called. But now when i have Firefox browser the Microsoft site ofcourse told me it is best viewed with IE and such... I will see if it works with this browser though because i think its a perfect place to play games over Internet. I did that some times earlier, no chess but backgammon i think, and maybe there are other fun games too. November 09 22:58 I went to the food shop before it closed so me and hugbears have some yummy things to make sandwiches or so with in this extra long day. Now i looked around about usb cables, and apparently (as i thought) the older usb cables (1.1) are ment to work with usb 2.0 too. And as one can read on the forum those old cables that dont work were made cheaply... why am i not surprised. Anyway that means when i get the new webcamera it should work with the old cables. At least worth a try, i remember the active extension cable cost more than the webcamera when i got it quite a long time ago. Now i see those 5 meter cables dont cost as much, so if i need new it isnt a worry for Mr Bear who counts our treasury. *hugs* I also saw that the camera i think i will get had a 1 lx sensitivity value whatever that means. But the cheaper with CMOS had 5 and 10 lx whatever that is. Anyway it means the one wich costs more is more sensitive and on the swedish computer shop online it said it even takes fine pictures in dark rooms. So i think that is what we need. November 09 20:39 One thing i know about webcameras is, CCD cameras are better image quality than CMOS wich i think both of my old have. I tried to search for some opinions about a Philips camera that appears ok so perhaps i get that. Then comes a question of old USB and the 2.0 fast usb... i think my expensive active usb extension cable is only for older usb but how can one know? Perhaps it has nothing much to do with the cables so it works for faster usb too... Since i dont have the computers in my room for noise reasons the cables have to be long. And even longer later for many cameras in a bigger castle. Oh well... just blabbering here so i keep myself busy easier. November 09 20:19 Ok well time to see what is needed for the live camera server later, how many usb ports is there for cameras, wich should we get, and ofcourse there isnt even a harddrive in that computer now so it needs a little work inside first. And it should get a dvd reader because earlier i just moved that drive to the newest computer. So the older, wich still isnt in any way old and slow, could use a dvd for easier installing of things. I can get that tomorrow. I dont really know what things to get for improved cameras but i saw one wich specially said it took good images even in darkness. That is important for any spying eye because one i have is useless in anything except sunlight or 500w light... The oldest i have is better with adjusting for normal room light, and even sees ok in evenings. Problem i guess is i want to test cameras before i choose wich to begin collecting. And also when i find a good model it has to be possible to use one, two, or even 4 at the same time. More cameras isnt useful now probably but i try to plan for the future this time. Also there are usb cameras, network cameras, and also high performance wireless network cameras. It is a jungle and i dont know where to begin... but i begin with reviving the older computer brainy and making it work with the old camera. A man was sent to prison for 8 years (i think) based on things that his daughter had been more or less brainwashed to believe herself. It made me so angry when i some month ago saw about that, and i cant see the rest. The case is now in supreme court and i think the man and his friend (who got 6 years prison) will be free. The second part investigates the psychic clinic where the girls and many others have been, and apparently the people who work there are really creepy. If you live in Sweden maybe watch it, Uppdrag granskning, begins in 10 minutes. I cant see it, it will make me so upset. Not because the girl lied, but i feel sad for the man who wrongfully was sent to prison for Incest, i was already angry with the previous ignorant stupid lawer, i was earlier shocked that swedish police and justice system sometimes just dont investigate anything, and if i would watch this second part i would probably learn to hate the people who actually made that whole story happen. The real world really sucks in many areas. Luckily there is also a Happy World where people dont even think about doing unkind or disrespectful things to each other. We dont even need police in the Happy World. And i wrote about this because some may think i dont see the problems in my own country and just whine about America (or rather Bush...) and other places. There are problems here too, both big and small.November 09 16:37 Instead of bothering with game servers for a while i am thinking perhaps my second computer would be more useful as a live camera server. Because if those things are on their own computer it wont bother the computer brainy i use for whatever i feel like. If i bother with that depends on how many really want to spy on me and the hugfriends a lot. Mr Bear says we will just count tax paying Citizens until next year and have a vote thing about what is most interesting to spend the tax moneys on. That could be a good idea that is how most taxes should get used anyway except firstly the internet costs. One reason i thought of this is because now we live in a small castle, but later i do plan to move to a bigger palace. November 08 22:42 Hmm... it seems i have been sleeping most of today, i did get up in the afternoon but somehow then me and hugbears got sleepy and i waked up half an hour ago. This is weird, i want to wake up in the morning and go to bed in the evening. November 08 15:43 Saved another game demo that i actually tried and it was fun so click to Princess Gaming and try Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 if you feel like it. I like games where you build things more than those where its all about shooting things. And late in the night when i played that game i built hotdog selling places in the rollercoaster park, and lemonade places too, and i got so hungry i wanted to visit them and buy a hotdog. November 07 16:10 We slept a loooong time today but its nice with extra many hours in bed sometimes. Now comes again the problem with sleeping too late in days and not being able to sleep until after midnight or even early in the morning. I may as well decide today to stay awake all night or have some annoying clock wake me up early in morning even if i am tired. Anyway i will try to sit in computer corner and get something done. Well i can tell what the update was that i collected yesterday evening, it is a lot of Half Life 2 video clips. So if you are thinking of buying that game have a look, or just look anyway because it is a very well made game. I also found a link to another game that i am waiting sooooo much for, and really it will look so good it is just... well, its amazing if computers and game consoles (like Playstation 3) can render 3d games looking like that next year. I know a lot of people upgrade their computers now to play Half Life 2, but seriously i will wait until Oblivion is out and then i will build the fastest PC possible. Yes, a new super PC just for that coming role-playing game. November 05 23:49 I just realised finding game demos and things to share will need a lot of space. And probably a lot of data transfer too, but i think those things can be upgraded if i get too creative. November 05 13:10 I remembered yesterday about computer games there are often demo versions and things for games to try before buying (or not) some games. Great! Why havent i thought of that more before, it should be a good way to find things that are interesting to buy. Try before you buy sort of. So i went to a demo website and saved a demo for a new car racing game wich seemes different from the usual ones i saw in shops and never bought. Seriously this game may make anyone smile... it made me laugh actually. Why? Well i am right now saving it on my server so wait some hour and i will also write a webpage with some information for the big 176mb file. I may buy this one if it has internet play because it could be fun to play with others. What made me laugh was that the cars get damaged when you happen to drive off the track into something, or bump with the other cars. And lets say any of the few, maybe two, car games i ever tried before i was no good and usually bump into something regularly. But in this game its sort of part of the game. And anyway the car look so ridiculous after a while of bad driving it is just silly... November 04 23:51 So there, trying to get computer brainy back to being useful again i reinstalled some things, webcamera, photo viewing program, gif animation program, the special digital camera fix i need to use the big memory card in my camera, and also while i was at it i bothered to install the video editing program again. I thought to do that earlier sometime but never bothered. It can be used to record video and edit so perhaps some fun with the little webcamera before next year. Now i need a sandwich and some hugs before i make settings in Photoshop as i want them, those got removed with a new Windows install. Same with all webcamera program settings so that will be a bit of work too... So annoying. But now i dont have IE anymore so perhaps i never have to do this again. November 04 18:39 One walk to the food shopping place done. But i think i continue that tomorrow i dont feel like another long walk now. Time for some nice hugs on the cozy bed i think. In evening we will watch some tv and share a big cup of warm chocolate, i made sure to remember getting a new bag of that sort of chocolate powder that mixes with milk. We really like that especially in cold days if i get home freezing the nicest thing i know is make a cup of warm chocolate, then me and two warm hugbears hide under a blanket or a cloak in the sofa and get warmed together. Mmm, i almost cant wait for the few -20C days... Anyway i get back to computer some later and see what i get done both repairing programs and preparing for some fun webthing creating in the weekend. I probably cant create them all before end of weekend, but they will be started. November 04 15:21 I dont really feel like repairing the computer brainy programs today but i will try to get it done anyway, because there are some webthings i want to create this weekend. They will be the funniest i create for a long time, at least i think so. Also today will be a big food shopping day i will make lists of things to get and get some exercise while carrying everything home to our castle. I may get tired in the arms if i make too big shopping lists but i like fresh air and so what if i get tired sometimes... after i am done we will have enough food things to hibernate through any extra cold winter days and such. And also Mr Bear and Lady Bear will wait for me to be a good girl today and then we will have lots of nice warm hugs in the evening. Just thinking about that makes me happy. Just keeping up the advertising babble, i think everyone should try a switch. Lots of people do already, why wait? I might make my homepage display a warning to all IE users. That could be fun. November 03 21:49 Things look a little different with this new web browser but as you can see from times between diary notes, it takes only minutes to switch. November 03 21:36 I got my bookmarks back to IE, but only so i can move those i want to keep over to... FireFox. Get FireFox, never use IE again. I dont even have to try that other more and more popular web browser before i know i will use it instead of IE. I will try to get the computer back to normal as quick as possible but its just so many little things here and there to do when everything has to be once again set as i want it. Here is a after all those grumpies, nof for the computer problems... but Mr Bear is waiting to give me lots of hugs and that helps me forget annoying things, fins solutions, and move on with life. November 03 20:31 Oh no... i should write an angry smiley but i dont have any to put in the Diary. I happened to get another spyware, malware, crapware, adware, and god knows what installed. It was very bad. VERY... bad, and even if that free Spyware program i linked to found everything, it didnt get rid of it all. First it showed that some things were gone, but some illegal installations remained. After i fiddled manually in the registry and deleted newly added files here and there, i managed to remove some un-removable crapware, but then the free Spyware removal program suddenly showed some that were supposedly removed being back!  And as i expected in the end i just removed something that wasnt supposed to be removed and had to do the easiest solution. A clean Windows install. Wich takes time, and means all programs are once again mostly in need of reinstallation. And i absolutely HATE those greedy people who do these things. I did write down two IP's of the offenders, i didnt bother with the hundreds of 'trusted domains' they added to the IE. I may just go after these ass-holes... Sorry about the angry language here but i feel like hitting someone or some people in their heads for this unwanted trouble. I probably will just repair things and find solutions though, and i hope nobody else around here gets the sneaky installations i got from somewhere almsot unknown. One thing is for sure, i will NOT be using Internet Explorer anymore. And i will get rid of the Outlook Express email program too. Enough is enough... This is just sooooo annoying. Guess one cant surf around the Internet safely anymore, one may step on a spamware landmine every 3 months or so. Oh well... hope i can rescue unanswered emails and get some of the more used computer programs installed again this evening. I was actually about to get creative when this happened again. The old dancey music is there after i removed it some weeks, and also the first music i made when i got the new synth some year ago. The dancey music is actually not bad composed but i didnt have the energy to try enough and make it better and also not to make it sound 'professional' so it is the way it is. Still that has been played down in Europe in some disco place and such, guess it works on big speakers with crazy lights and such. Anyway i remembered the first simple music i made and i really like it some way. It is a bit sad sounding and so but since i know the thought behind it was positive i dont get sad listening to it. I sort of like it, at least in the headphones where i hear it now maybe not so well balanced in the stereo oh well... i really like to create musics and there will definitely be more of that over winter. November 03 15:01 Well we couldnt stay up to see who gets to decide where America goes the next 4 years, because apparently it is so even with the votes. And i find it strange the Democrats even have to tell the world they will make sure every vote is counted. Every single valid vote should be counted no matter how even a presidential election is! I seriously hope Bush doesnt win, because not only Americans will have to put up with him the rest of the world too... and i wont even write how bad things really are in Iraq because of Bush and Blair. Its just horrible. And they made it happen. Anyway we will just forget about those negative things now and stay focused on more positive things. The world needs more smiles. I actually happened to see those really nicely designed Sony flat monitors in an Internet shop lately i really want one. They cost about 1000$ here and since the one i have works fine its a bit of a waste. But since i do have two computers perhaps i could tell Mr Bear the new is for the computer i use and the old will be useful for the extra computer... Just a boring still image with the two biggest candidates. Now i heard the name of that third president candidate again, Ralph Nader, anyone voting for him is ok with me and Mr Bear too. Anyway the people on CNN seem to babble and babble nonstop as fast as they can... its almost tiresome to listen to them but i will stay awake with Mr Bear in our cozy sofa. November 03 02:07 Mr Bear think we should stay awake in the night and see how the US elections turn out. We have seen some upsetting things about how some people think about the two big candidates, like... Good vs Evil. Bush is Good and Kerry is Evil? Its just insane to think like that. And i dont care what anyone thinks around here, anyone living in the US and voting for Bush should never ever tell me, because i will not like you anymore. I dont really know how well Kerry will do if/when he wins, but he deserves 4 years of trying a lot more than Bush deserves 4 more years of doing a crappy job. We think Kerry will win, get ready to move out from that big white house Bush... So far the swedish news report Kerry is succesful.November 03 00:03 So at least one positive side of buying a game like Half Life 2 over the internet through that Steampowered place, there are no dvd or cdrom discs that can get broken. Oh well guess i dont play Far Cry anymore... i tried to use a DVD copy program to get a big file from the game disc, but it is already too broken. If i had noticed this earlier maybe i could have made a copy some way. Oh well... there are other things to do. November 02 22:59 Hmm, or perhaps buy a dvd burner thingy then i could make a copy of the game i think. But since i know games and things are copy protected and such, maybe that doesnt work so probably not a great idea... I havent used the cd burner much anyway and it was an expensive and fast scsi cd burner when we got it for my computer brainy. Computer things just get faster and cheaper all the time it seems... November 02 22:52 How silly is this... I thought i could start the Far Cry game server again and also jump into the game a little this evening. But there has been problems lately to start the game and such, the dvd is apparently tricky to read and somehow i assumed the drive has got tired of working. Wich is a bit strange because i havent really used it much, only to install Windows earlier, or some few times read a cdrom, and the last year also for one or two computer games. But this evening i actually noticed the dvd disc is beginning to get cracks from the center hole and one was very visible into the silvery data area. Guess its from all the times taking it out and putting it back in the game box. I almost think this should fall under bad manufacturing because its not my fault if either the disc is made from bad plastics or the game box has too tight securing thing to hold it stuck there. I did notice the disc seemed to be really solidly secured on the center thingy in the game box but come on... how can one be expected to have another good place to store the disc. If i had known the disc would get cracks from xx times of moving it from game box to computer i could maybe have just left it in the dvd drive. But i didnt, still i say its crappy manufacturing. Sure i could just buy another copy of the game but i dont think i should have to do that. If i find the receipt i will go to the shop and say i want a new copy because the old one doesnt work. If a disc cant put up with being moved from box to computer for a year, no matter how often, then it is a manufacturing fault. End of discussion? Well if i dont have a receipt (most likely not...) then guess i have to be extra careful with the disc and just not play the game. Or buy a new, wich is sort of ridiculous...
