Princess Tessy - The Princess Diary - August 2006 August 31 17:56 Webthings are a bit slow i guess, as usual. But today i have experimented quite a lot with Quicktime streaming video. So far i havent managed to get it to work in the quicktime player... it just says 'live broadcast' and keep negotiating forever and ever... I got things to work with windows media player, so i cant be that far from getting things to work with quicktime also. At least i hope so. It will become obvious why, in just a little while if i get it working. August 29 11:50 I really dont know what to do anymore, so me and hugfriends may as well have a lazy day and try to figure something out. August 28 12:15 Monday, time for me to get things done. Or at least tell others to get things done for me... maybe that is what Princesses do best. *giggle* August 25 18:06 Not much happening here lately. Two days ago a friend visited and had brought coffee, nice i thought i havent bothered to buy that for weeks. I didnt think then why i had not bothered to buy coffee myself. Anyway i had a cup, and later in the day another big breakfast cup, then another, and another, until later in evening. I had lots of energy that day and got all hand sewing done i have not taken care of for a long time, things that just laid around sort of. But after midnight when i wanted to sleep... i couldnt. And at 2 in night, when i really wanted to sleep, because i was going to wake up 8 in morning for a bath and then a city visit... i still could not sleep. 4 in night? No, couldnt sleep. 6 in morning?? Still could not fall asleep.  I just could not relax my eyes or my head, i must have overdosed on coffee or something it was very very annoying. 8 in morning, i took a pain killing pill and managed to relax at least a bit before i went to have a warm bath. No sleep at all, and so early afternoon i just had to stop snooping in clothing shops and go home to sleep. Even then it was difficult, maybe because it was day. Anyway... dont drink lots and lots of coffee, especially if you havent had a cup for a few weeks. I wont do that mistake again. I actually dont want to drink coffee, it isnt very yummy, and my thought is if i cant be awake or have energy sometimes, its probably because i need some rest or sleep. So drinking coffee for the 'being alert' reason seems a bit silly to me. Now i have coffee so may as well use it up, but after that i will continue to avoid it. Sometimes i end up doing the same with nicer cups of tea, but if i just have small cups with Lady Bear it should be ok. Anyway i am a bit annoyed i looked for popcorns in the food shop last visit. They only had microwave popcorns now, how... thoughtless! I want those old dried corns to pop the old way. I think those end up nicer, with real butter no weird hardened whatever it is they put into those paper bags for microwaves. I dont care if they cost the same either, although dried corns should be really really cheap. I think i heard somewhere corn is used for animal food too, tons of it. So popcorns must be really profitable to sell anyhow.  I wont bother buying a microwave oven just to make popcorns, that much is for sure. I decided long ago i dont need a microwave oven, and that will not change. I will find popcorns, the Happy World foreign minister needs them so he has any energy to go snoop for positive news. Ture likes popcorns even more than the rest of us. August 23 15:45 It seems i ended up doing some sewing today instead of computer corner. I think its best to be sewing certain things in daylight, like hand sewing. I can be in computer corner in evening to do this or that, no need for good light then. August 22 15:29 Oh we are all feeling so lazy today, but maybe a big late lunch sandwich helps get us energy back again. After a lunch nap too ofcourse... *giggles* I will get something done today, i have to there is only about a week left of this month. And i will have most webthings figured out and finished or at least halfway done by then. Why some things may not get finished depends on how complicated my ideas are to do, i might not be able to do them myself. Or at least i may have to study some things and learn how to do them. But we arent lazy couch potatoes all the time. August 21 18:02 I just found some pretty gowns, i had to show them to Lady Bear also she too think they would look lovely on me. Maybe i could just learn to sew similar designs, they look to be similar to my own dresses but with decorations and such. I did read somewhere about, cutting out pieces from lace or embroidered fabrics, to sew onto a dress bodice or anywhere for decorationing. Those gowns i saw again usually have coloured decorations, wich does make them look special, and i think most of them were quite pretty. Lady Bear says i should learn sewing better, then i will get to be proud of what i created as well as wear it. Maybe a good idea that, unless some gentleman feels like pampering me later.  August 21 13:29 Today i will try to start being more serious with the webthings. I might go snoop for some new clothes too, but besides that i will try to stay put in computer corner most of today and either try to finish bits and pieces, or add things to the idea list. One thing i actually will allow Citizens to do, is dress me up in almost whatever way they would want to see their perfect Princess doll. *giggles* Just remember i may be naughty or teasing sometimes, but that is mostly for fun. I wont ever bother modeling or wearing what i define as slutty clothes. And i dont like tanga or strings or whatever. And no i wont ever respond to 'take your clothes off' or 'show your boobs' or 'you should lay like that naked'... yes it is allowed to dream about it happening, so keep on dreaming. *hugs* But it wont happen, ever. As i explained sometime earlier, often the words i or someone else add to a photo can change what the photo really is quite a lot. One particular photo comes to my mind at once when mentioning just that. Anyway now i will have a late breakfast, for most people it would be late anyway. And then i better give Mr Bear some extra nice *hugs* before we go buy some new domain names for the future. Yes we will also try to wake up the webcamera(s) they will be snooping in our little castle soon. I just have to test if computer brainy number two can take care of two cameras at once, the old and the new. August 20 15:46 Webthings didnt get much done this week, but there are so many things that should get done i better start updating today so ideas and things are in shape before end of month. I will take better care of the Happy World dont worry. *hugs* August 17 19:16 I saw some upsetting news in 60 minutes last night, about how the US government censored environment reports from NASA. Something about the danger of global warning, wich is obviously happening no matter what anyone says. But what they showed was just horrible. There was a former oil-business lobbyist working as some sort of environmental minister, and that person got to re-write reports from the best persons Nasa had doing research. At least the report in 60 minutes ended somewhat good, with Nasa staff now having a right to speak their opinion, as long as they say it is just their personal opinion. Still, the polar ices are melting faster than ever before. And i think we are all in for some serious changes ahead. But anyway... i was thinking to go see the new Superman movie this evening. But the hugbears want me close this evening so i think i stay home. I like hugs more than movies, and maybe we find something interesting in the tv anyway. August 13 16:28 I finally created the Happy World Princess inside second life, the real serious me not the sometimes very naughty fairy... I will be busy with homepage and webthings next week, so expect to see some things come back. And i expect at least a few Citizens to help the happy world grow. The thing is, i wont pay for things anymore. I have for a long time, but it is Citizens who should do that. So there wont be any art gallery in Second Life until Citizen taxes or donations are enough to pay for land. Besides that there will for a start mostly be webthings created, but it would be fun to build a nice big Happy World in the second life too. That would require lots of happy citizens though, not just to pay for the fun but to motivate me being creative. I think the Citizenship application things will be done by next weekend, so until then practice your curtsies and respectful bows, make sure your credit card can afford a monthly tax payment of around 10$, and maybe i see you soon. *hugs* August 10 22:09 Oh no... i just found lots of yummy food things in Second Life. Well, not real food... but it looked so yummy now i got really hungry. Mr Bear looks hungry too but mostly for some hugs, i better make him be less hungry for those. *hugs* August 05 02:26 I found this from Slashdot news, it isnt positive news but go have a look anyway because these things are important. Personally i doubt we can save our earth, but trying to stay positive i sure hope we can. We have to, who wants to live with no fresh air to breathe, no clean waters, no healthy land to grow things one... well, i sure hope our planet isnt ruined. August 05 00:47 Hmm, that should ofcourse be Sea Biscuit. August 05 00:46 Me and hugfriends just saw a movie in the tv, Sea Buscuit, i think it was great. I didnt see it from the beginning sort of just looked around tv channels and found it. Was sort of about a racing horse and i like how the story went. I wont write any more, it ended so nice we feel like having lots of nice hugs here. So much nicer with a good movie than negative tv news or such things. August 04 16:42 Things will change around here, at least the things i feel like spending my valueable time on. I will store some of the older modeling photos and things either on some new webpages, or exclusively in a Second Life gallery. I intend to spend most of the time i do feel like spending on webthings, on the serious side of me. Anyways those who stay around will find out this month. In fact i intend to start writing a little story, about how the Happy World got started. Does anyone think they have a clue? Well it is a long story, if i can find energy to write anything long and well written. But it started with two happy hugbears i met long ago. We became best friends quickly, and pondering about why there is so much negativity and such in life, we decided to be brave and try to create our own world. Sort of like how some rather funny tv series i saw some parts of once tested the idea to actually start a country. But the Happy World has no borders really, it is anywhere a happy Citizen lives. Well that is how it works in 'the real world', in the story book sort of world its another thing. But this week i am lost in Everquest... because it entertains me more than webthings. And i want to gather some new riches so possible future friends in there can get some good starting help. *hugs* August 01 00:13 By the way, it will be possible to play Everquest 2 with me later this year. Only for Citizens i want for company in there though. I have played that game a lot, since i have a lot of free time to do whatever i want with. But no need to worry about character levels and such, there is something called mentoring, and i think the game is equally fun almost anywhere, with the right people. A good time to come and play will probably be a while after the release of expansion 3, wich goes from level 1-70. That means i too will have a lot of new things to adventure around. But its only for brave people, never know what angry creatures and monsters are sneaking around in caves or wherever... but then again, that is what friends are for. To win over the meanies! *giggle* August 01 00:04 Luckily there are usually positive things to make me feel happier.
