JOURNEY INTO DANGER. In which a beautiful Princess rescues a dragon. It is not for nothing that Krag’s realm is known as Woeland. For the people of Woeland lived in constant woe. There was rarely any songs or laughter heard in Woeland since happiness had been outlawed years ago by the Evil Wizard Krag. The Sun never shined and flowers never bloomed and any laughter that was heard came from Krag’s Keep and was often a harbinger for further woe upon someone else. On this day, Krag’s laughter, mirthless and malevolent, rang throughout Krag’s Keep, which was the darkest most fearsome place in Woeland. So fearsome was it that none of the frightened subjects liked to think of it, much less visit it. In fact those invited to the Keep often had to be bound in chains and carried off by hideous winged ogres, even for a friendly visit. (which was rare, since Krag was anything but friendly.) Anyone who had been taken, was never seen again...not intact or alive anyway, and one could only be sure that the victim’s visit was not at all a pleasant one. The owner of this evil laugh, Krag, ruled Woeland and considered the subjects his property to do with as he pleased. Krag was the most evil wizard who ever lived and had brought great woe upon the entire world before he was banished to Woeland after a long and very unpleasant battle that occurred many many years before any of us were born. Krag, of course, thought this was terribly unfair since, being a dark and powerful wizard full of long forbidden and forgotten magic (and well versed in all sorts of nasty things) he felt that he was entitled to own everything he could, and destroy everything he couldn’t. And so, instead of improving his land and the lives of his people, as a good ruler should, he spent time torturing citizens for his own amusement while plotting his revenge. The reason for his laughter this gloomy evening was due to his latest possession, which was the first and highly pivotal step, towards obtaining this revenge. "Soon the fools shall feel the power of KRAG!" gloated the fiendish wizard. "I have defeated and imprisoned one sworn enemy and soon I will have revenge over another. Not by the mercy of death but something even more diabolical will I avenge myself to the heiress to the cursed throne of Happy World!" He laughed again while fingering the fiery red gem that hung from a medallion around his neck. "The fools thought me weak but through the eons I’ve grown stronger! And with Happy World soon beneath my heel, nothing will stop me from OWNING THE WORLD!!!!" The ogres who had witnessed this tirade trembled, and it takes much to make an ogre tremble, especially a winged one. Krag was more frightening in his joy than he was in his terrifying wrath. The poor citizen chained to the rack neither heard nor trembled as he had lost consciousness from the pain caused by the many awful things being done to him. Many more awful things will be done before this tale has ended. A DEMONSTRATION "I can’t say I approve of this!" said Lady Bear as she and Mr. Bear observed the proceedings in the royal gymnasium. "But I gave my word I would not interfere. Still, couldn’t you do this in your exercise leotards like the other moves, instead of your finest peach colored gown?" "I thank you, Fair Lady", said Prince Louric as he continued binding Princess Tessy. "And kidnappers don’t often wait for a lady to change clothing before they strike." said the Princess, wincing as the rope was pulled ever tighter around her. Her apparent pertness was masking her apprehension as she realized that she was being tied tighter and with more rope than she was by bandits who had held her for ransom two summers ago. Princess Tessy, who ruled Happy World along with Mr. Bear and Lady Bear, was said to be so beautiful that the sun itself had made a point to rise before she did so as not to compete with her radiance. The Princess ruled with love and kindness and there was not a citizen of Happy World who did not love her dearly. (and if there were they kept it to themselves.) Men would travel many leagues, across hostile terrain and trackless seas just to gaze upon her beauty and kneel before her to kiss her hand. Accenting her beauty was her grace and poise, cultivated by the guidance of Lady Bear who always made sure her Princess behaved, and was treated, like a proper lady. It was Lady Bear who insisted that the Princess wore her long satin gowns at all times, when she wasn’t in the gym or ice skating (which, along with gymnastics, the fair Princess excelled at.) When word got out that the Princess had been kidnapped by bandits, there was great sadness in the kingdom. The Royal Guard searched day and night to rescue her as did many citizens forming posses to search the surrounding forest and rescue their heart’s desire. When she was finally rescued by the Elfin Prince Louric there was great joy and a grand celebration that lasted several weeks. She was also helped by a friendly dragon named Harold, but his part in the drama had been kept secret since dragons are often misunderstood due to many fine, but inaccurate stories about them. Although fearsome looking, Harold was a fine and loyal friend and a gentle soul who liked nothing better than using his fire to bake pies and muffins. Although Louric had saved the Princess from captivity it was the Princess who had captured the elfin Prince’s heart. For an elf to fall in love with a human is rare indeed and another testament to Princess Tessy’s matchless beauty. Since then, the Prince was a frequent visitor to the Happy World castle, where he conducted a romantic courtship under the watchful eye of Lady Bear, or whatever servants she assigned to chaperone their time together. They’d often go riding together in the woods or to visit Harold, bringing him many berries and fruits from the Royal garden for him use in his baking. In addition to these idyllic moments, Prince Louric had undertaken training Princess Tessy in many elfin secrets, to help her to avoid any further threats to her safety. After obtaining permission from the Elders of his tribe, and from the Bears, he began to tutor the Princess in various fighting arts (which are ten times more effective than human marital arts), both armed and unarmed, healing arts and the finding of medicinal herbs, tracking with little or no trail, blending into the landscape, in any type of clothing, and moving throughout even the thickest woods without being seen or heard (which came in handy when the two wished to be alone.) and many other skills that elves learn when they are children. The only thing he could not teach her was actual magic since it is forbidden for elves to teach those to humans, no matter how royal they may be. Princess Tessy was a very apt and willing pupil and Louric was a patient and thorough teacher. And so she learned these skills quite quickly and one would think the Princess herself was an elf by her mastery of them. And so, at the command of Mr. Bear and Lady Bear, Louric and Tessy spent most of the day in the Royal Gymnasium showing them, and a few servants in waiting, all that the Princess had learned. All were awed at her skill in these elfin arts and were enthusiastic in their applause. When The Princess went to change back into her royal gown, a peach satin one that was a favorite of Prince Louric’s, they had assumed that the demonstration was over. But the Prince told them otherwise. "If it please you." said the Prince as Tessy entered, looking resplendent in her gown. "The Princess and I will now demonstrate one of the most difficult skills we elves are taught, the ability to escape from bindings, no matter how many there are, or how tight. If the Princess has mastered this skill she will free herself with barely a wrinkle to her beautiful gown." Taking ropes that were reluctantly brought to him by the servants (for they shared Lady Bear’s apprehension of seeing their Princess bound and helpless.). The elfin prince bound the Happy World Princess even tighter than Skar and his bandits could ever have conceived of. Finally, when her whole body seemed to be completely covered with stout brown rope, Louric turned to his captive. "Are you ready, Fair Princess?" said the elfin Prince with a mischievous smile. "Yes my Lord," answered the Princess. Then with a kiss that made her blush even deeper than her reddest gown, Prince Louric tied a gag into her mouth and laid her down on the mats. "This skill will work whether tied to a chair, a table a post or whatever else." said Louric addressing his small audience. "While I cannot reveal how it is done, much of it has to do with muscle control." Turning to Tessy he said. "On my word, Fair Princess." Tessy nodded and looked around nervously. In all the times they’d practiced this, she could never get used to being bound like that. "And.....NOW!", said the elf. At first the Princess struggled helplessly and it appeared that she was trapped. Then she stopped, closed her eyes and took as deep a breath as her gag would allow. Then she began moving slowly, almost imperceptibly, and the rope began to loosen. Then, in less time then it takes to tell about it, she sat up and pulled the ropes off of her as easily as she would the silken sheets of her bed in the morning. Removing the gag, she gracefully rose and taking the Prince’s hand she curtseyed deeply as Louric bowed to the applause from the Bears and the servants. "And not a tear or wrinkle on my gown" she said proudly as the applause died down. Even Lady Bear had to admit that she was impressed. "Even so!" she said. "A little care in where you wander would go a long way in preventing further mishaps." "I agree, Milady." said Prince Louric respectfully. "We elves are always taught that the best defense is caution. However, that isn’t always enough as trouble often occurs when you least expect it." "Well I hope that she will never find it necessary to use those skills for real." said Lady Bear as they all adjourned to the garden for tea. THE JOURNEY TO HAROLD'S A day or so after the demonstration, Prince Louric and Princess Tessy realized that it had been a long time since they’d heard anything from Harold the Dragon. While the last two months had been spent in training exercises, conducted in complete privacy, they still found it odd that no messages had arrived from either Harold or from Louric’s tribe. Harold lived in the rocky hills known as Dragon Hill and was frequently host to many elven visitors. Louric and the Princess were always welcome guests at Harold’s home, where there was always a great deal of merriment. "I didn’t want to say anything earlier." said the Prince. "But I have an uneasy feeling about this. I should go and see him to make sure no evil has befallen him." "I want to come too!" said Tessy. "Harold is my friend as well and I want to know that he’s okay." Prince Louric was very reluctant to allow the Princess to accompany him, even though he couldn’t bear to be parted from her. But it is impossible for even an elf to argue with a Princess and so they agreed to set out the following morning. They spent the rest of the day picking the finest berries and fruits from the royal garden to take to Harold and, in keeping with their promise to keep him secret, told the Bears that they were going to visit Louric’s tribe for the day. (This may seem like a lie but it wasn’t. Louric’s tribe lived around Harold’s home and were, as mentioned before, frequent guests of the friendly dragon.) They set off the following morning, Princess Tessy on her pure white horse, Alabaster, and Prince Louric on his jet black steed, Onyx. It was a bright morning but the woods had an ominous feeling to them. The Prince and Princess rode silently, sensing that something wasn’t right. It was when they were one mile away from the dragon’s cave that they were halted by a band of heavily armed elves. The Captain of this regiment, a rather round and squat looking elf named Bouris, stepped forward. "Halt!" he cried. "Who goes there!" It is I, Prince Louric!" said the Prince. "With Princess Tessy of Happy World! Why do you go about the woods armed for battle?" "My Lord, you have returned!" cried Bouris, dropping to his knees along with the entire regiment! After Louric bade them to rise, Bouris looked at Princess as though noticing her for the first time. "But Your Highness! You should not have brought the Princess! Dangerous times have come and it is not safe for her in these woods!" "I have learned much, Good Sir" said Tessy, feeling a little bit patronized. "And am well prepared for whatever may come!" Some of the female elves among them smiled and whispered among themselves as Bouris knelt once again. "I beg your pardon, Fair Princess. I meant know offense, of course. But we fear that the danger is great, especially to you!" "Don’t tell me Skar and his men have escaped!" said Tessy, "Well they won’t find me a helpless hostage this time!" Bouris, despite his grimness had to laugh at this. "Skar and his men are held in the elfin prison where none have ever escaped and none ever will! They are treated better than they treated you and are all quite repentant of their crimes. Skar himself wishes to return home to take vows with his church and become a priest.. No, dear Princess! The danger is even greater than any ragtag group of bandits!’ "Well whatever the danger," said Louric. "She shall not face it alone! I will stand beside her as will all of you. And Harold will aid us as well!. We are on our way to see him now!" "But my prince!" said the Captain. "Have you not heard?! Harold was summoned by the Fairy Queen of the northern country! He left a month ago and........he hasn’t returned! We fear he might have been captured!" THE COUNCIL Prince Louric and Princess Tessy felt Bouris’s last words cut through them like a razor sharp icicle. Tessy’s eyes began to tear as she thought of the kind and gentle dragon and wondered who would be hateful enough to mean him harm! "It isn’t safe to talk out here!" said Louric sadly. "Let us go to the cave and we can discuss this further in private." They rode on silently and grimly until they came to Harold’s cave. Princess Tessy had ridden with the elves many times before and had never seen them like this. There was none of the usual singing or laughter that she had grown accustomed to from these fair people. There was very little talking and even that was whispered and brief. It was as Louric said, they seemed to be steeling themselves for a great battle. This didn’t dampen their hospitality however. Upon arrival at the cave, Louric and Tessy were warmly welcomed by the elf maidens who ran baths and busied themselves preparing the sleep chambers and food for the travelers. The food, while not quite as plentiful, was satisfying nevertheless and the only thing missing were the delicious pies and muffins that Harold prided himself on. The cave seemed not as warm without Harold’s merry presence and this absence was felt by all. They all ate in near silence with a few whispers here and there. It was only by the end of the feast that any significant speech was made as a council convened immediately. Captain Bouris lit his pipe and began. "About a month ago, Harold was summoned by the Fairy Queen begging for his help in fighting the ogres north of their border. Since then he has not been seen or heard from. At first we though that the fairies had trapped him somehow." "I find that hard to believe." said Louric. "Granted that elves and fairies have never been the best of friends, I don’t think they would do something that treacherous, especially to Harold who has always been a friend to everyone." "Still," said Bouris. " ‘You can never be too suspicious of a fairy, as my grandfather used to say." Many elves murmured in agreement but Princess Tessy saw from the look on Louric’s face that he did not share such sentiments. "Please continue, Captain." the Prince said tersely. "W-well" said Bouris as the room fell silent once more. "Some of our elf brothers from the north reported that they saw Harold flying towards the north of Fairyland where a blinding flash flooded the entire sky. When it had finally dimmed there was no sign of Harold anywhere. And there hasn’t been any since. And north of that country is the dark kingdom known as Woeland...and that is where our ancestors banished..." and here he lowered his voice to a whisper. "Krag!" "Krag!" said Louric, ignoring the shock of the elves around him. "I have heard that name whispered many times before. Finally I consulted the great elf master Chiroc and he told me about him. I can see how this does concern the Princess!" "Who is Krag?" Tessy asked, and the elves were shocked again at this second time that name had been said louder than a whisper. "Long ago, Fair Princess" said Louric. "Long before any of us were born, before the Bears were born or even the elf master Chiroc, there lived a very powerful wizard who had mastered the darker arts of magic. Knowledge that had been forbidden to all. Forbidden they were, because they did great harm to the practitioner and those around him. He had attempted to conquer the world and allied himself with the ogres and goblins to do his bidding. It was only an alliance with the humans, elves, dwarves and fairies that he was able to be defeated. Your ancestor, Tessious the Great lead the armies to conquer and defeat the great wizard with the help of Harold the Dragon. Oh yes,, Harold is much older than you realize.. He was then banished to Woeland and several spells were cast upon the area so that he could not escape. Unfortunately, neither could anyone else who entered that area, so many were trapped who wandered in those regions and have lived there in misery every since. After that we all repaired to our own regions and Tessious founded Happy World, an oasis of peace and joy in a troubled world." "I have heard of Tessious, of course." said Tessy. "But if Krag is imprisoned and defeated what threat can he possibly be. Wouldn’t he have died years ago?" "They say he has the power to cheat death and postpone it indefinitely. Some say he has found the secret of immortality. He vowed revenge upon Tessious and all of his descendents as well as all the others who helped defeat him. His magic must surely have grown stronger and he has undoubtedly found a way to capture Harold and defeat him." "I’ll be those fairies had something to do with it! I never did trust them!" said a voice from the back. "That is quite enough!" the Prince angrily retorted, his eyes ablaze with anger. "The fairies stood proudly beside our ancestors and fought valiantly against Krag! Regardless of this stupid rivalry between elves and fairies! Yes stupid! I do not wish to hear anymore accusations until we have proof of their involvement. If Krag is indeed behind this then the fairies are in the same danger as we and will need our aid as we will need theirs! So anybody wishing to accuse the fairies had better have some hard evidence to support their accusations! Do I make myself clear!" Prince Louric’s outburst had left a stunned silence in its wake. Elves are generally slow to lose their tempers, but frightening to behold when they did. After a moment of silence that seemed like forever, Prince Louric composed himself. "My proposal is this." he continued. "We shall journey to the north, first to Fairyland and then, if necessary to Woeland. It is there we will confront the evil wizard rescue Harold or, if necessary, avenge him! What say you?" The cave thundered under a deafening roar of agreement from the assembled throng as all vowed to face death itself for Tessy. All hailed Prince Louric and Princess Tessy and swore allegiance to them both, to fight and defend them to the afterworld itself! "It is agreed then. Bouris, have your regiment assembled by the dawn. Tomorrow we ride." Tessy stood up! "And don’t forget me! My Prince. I am coming too!" THE MOUNTAIN OF THE TROLLS After spending much of the evening making preparations and deciding who would go and who wouldn’t the traveling party were ready to depart with the first morning light. Elves often travel lightly and quickly so their supplies were nothing more than weapons, kindling for fire, a store of biscuits to be rationed out along the way (similar to human biscuits but much more filling), a good supply of their healing elixir and other medicinal supplies water and bedrolls. Princess Tessy herself had changed from her customary long satin gown in favor of elfin battle wear, which the other she elves were more than happy to help choose for her. This consisted of a forest green leotard with a matching short pleated skirt, black hose and armlets, green mid calf boots and gloves and was probably the most comfortable clothes the Princess had ever worn. "I shall have to keep this for when I go skating." she said. "It would be perfect." The she elves were quite taken by the Princess, especially a short haired one named Tyara who was quite curious about skating. Princess Tessy promised to teach her to skate when they’d returned from their journey. At last they were ready to set off. Prince Louric took his place at the head alongside Princess Tessy, both on their horses Alabaster and Onyx. He was followed by the Captain Bouris. Behind him rode Tyara and Lia, the most beautiful elf sisters and two of the most fearsome warriors. Following them was Rodric, on an especially large horse since he was an especially large elf. (it was rumored that he had troll blood in him.) Serafin, who was Louric’s sister, rode alongside Tisroc, to whom she had promised to announce her engagement to after they had returned. There were also twin brothers Resdic and Romax, Simor, called Ogre Bain, Sariea and Misti, Renic, son of Hogar, Zeric the Androgynous, who was alternately male or female depending on his mood, Hilda daughter of Helga, Misroc, Dania, Elbar, Serenus, Devinis and Rojar completed the party, all brave loyal and determined elfin warriors ready to lay down their lives for the Prince and Princess (although they all hoped that wouldn’t be necessary.) Maybe it was the excitement of the journey or maybe to show their courage, but Princess Tessy noticed a lighter mood than she sensed last night. The conversations were less strained and more animated and there was even some laughter and song that broke out from time to time. If not for the gravity of their mission, the Princess would have thought this nothing more than a holiday shared with her beloved Prince and her elfin friends. They stopped but once at midday to eat and some of the elves smoked their pipes or drank some of the elfin wine (the finest ever made) or lounged around composing songs and poems while a few went to the river and returned with a enough fish for all, which they quickly cooked and had with the biscuits and berries that Tyara and Lia had gathered. Meanwhile the Princess was in council with Prince Louric and Bouris. "According to the map," said Bouris. "We should be coming up to the Mountain of the Trolls by dusk. I’m not much looking forward to that." "Trolls?" Tessy shuddered. "Are they dangerous?’ "Well, yes and no," answered Bouris. "They’re not evil like their cousin ogres, but they are bad tempered so you have to be careful not to offend them, and they’re also pretty ill mannered and crude, which may be offensive to you, Fair Princess." "Well I’m glad I was forewarned about that." said the Princess with a small laugh. Prince Louric smiled at her and they shared a brief kiss as Bouris politely turned his head, focusing his attention to the pipe. "After we pass through there, if all goes well, we should be in Fairyland shortly after." he said with a shudder. Anything further he had to say he kept to himself, remembering Louric’s outburst the night before. "And Woeland after that." said Prince Louric, with a note of apprehension in his voice. "And I’m sure that the whispered rumors I’ve heard are every bit as bad as they sound." The rest break ended soon and they were all mounted and off once again. The ground grew rockier as the afternoon wore on and there were fewer trees and plants around. There were also hints of a very unpleasant odor here and there and the Princess wrapped a scarf around her mouth and nose to block it as did several of the other elves.. They soon found themselves in a narrow pass littered with bones and others sorts of filth and refuse. They were entering Troll mountain. "Be ready to attack or flee if necessary." said Louric. "The trolls aren’t known for their hospitality." Almost on cue, they heard a loud roar directly ahead of them. The horses were so startled by it that they had a hard time calming them so they wouldn’t panic. The roar rang out again, echoing off the canyons and hills surrounding them and they heard heavy thundering footprints. "WHO DARES ENTRUDE UPON THE DOMAIN OF THE TROLLS!?" a voice rang out. ‘MUST BE ELVES AGAIN! JUDGING BY THE HORRIBLE SMELL!" And then he appeared before them, the Troll. He was seven feet tall and quite muscular with a squarish round head and no neck. His skin was a motley blend of brown, grey and a sickly shade of green. He wore a pair of well beaten leather boots and a tattered loincloth and carried a gigantic wooden club which he meant to use if need be. His face was the ugliest that Princess Tessy had ever seen. Dark black beady bloodshot eyes over a broad wide nose that was broken in several places and stupidly drooling lips that barely covered his snaggly brownish yellow teeth. "You’re lucky I’m in a pleasant mood today!: he said with a loud belch. "I’ll give you all a minute to explain what you’re doing here before I smite the lot of you with Betsy here" he said, indicating the club. Prince Louric rode foreword and held up his hand as a gesture of peace. "I am Louric, Prince of the forest elves! With me is Tessy, Princess of Happy world! We only seek safe passage through your realm on our way to Fairyland." "I am Og! King of the Trolls!" said Og, flatulently. "And if there’s anything I hate more than elves it’s fairies! Bloody goody goods the lot of them! Tessy eh! And a nice bit of fun you look too!" he said with a gross approximation of a smile. Tessy shuddered at his very gaze and was glad her face was covered to hide the disgust she felt inside. "Oh but you’re a Princess! I shouldn’t say such things about a Princess!" said Og as he picked his nose and belched. "And why should I allow a Prince and a Princess to go through my mountain to Fairyland!? Are you late for tea and biscuits?!" Tessy spoke up before she could stop herself. "We seek Harold the Dragon from my realm. He has vanished and fear that he has met with foul play." Og’s grin dropped immediately upon hearing this. "Harold?" he said. "Has something happened to Harold? Somebody’s done something to Harold? They better not or they’ll have all the trolls on the mounatin on him, and one is bad enough!" "You know Harold?" said Louric somewhat surprised. "Do I know Harold? We never would have gotten through last winter if it hadn’t been for him. Every day he’d come and bring us pies and muffins and light fires all around the hills and so we wouldn’t freeze to death. And he’s been a friend to all of us many times before that. He’s helped us repel the ogres from the north and the east and has always been a welcome friend here!" Tessy thought she saw the hint of a tear in the great troll’s eyes. "There’s not a troll on this mountain who wouldn’t be willing to give his very life to Harold the Great!" "Harold indeed is a friend to all" said Prince Louric. "Well any friend of Harold’s is a friend of mine." said Og as more trolls came out of their hiding. "And anyone who says otherwise is gonna have to deal with me! Got that?!" The other trolls nodded and grinned nervously. Og was obviously a very feared ruler and none of the other trolls seemed eager to cross him. "We’ll do more than allow you all safe passage! You’re all gonna feast with us tonight! And a grand time we’ll have! And you can tell us all about what happened so we can know who will feel the wrath of our clubs!" At this the trolls all howled loudly and waved their clubs, crashing them against the mountains and causing many rocks to fall and nearly hit the rather startled elves below. Louric, Tessy and the rest of them were quite reluctant to accept their hospitality but even more reluctant to refuse it and offend these brutish creatures. TROLL FEAST The feast was probably the least pleasant that Tessy remembered being a guest of. Not that the food, simple meats, roots and breads, wasn’t palatable but eating with trolls is never enjoyable in the best of times. First of all, the idea of eating without utensils did not appeal to her. And what Bouris had said about trolls being ill mannered was not an exaggeration. There was a lot of belching and passing of gas all around as well as the sort of table manners that would have caused Lady Bear hysterics had the Princess ever eaten like that at the castle, which she was far too much of a lady to do anyway. The other elves were ill at ease around the trolls and ate very little, as did the Princess who felt nauseated by the sights sounds and smells that surrounded her. Her former captor, Skar and his bandits seemed like princely gentlemen compared to Og and his crew and she was very glad that she was a guest of the trolls and not a prisoner. If the trolls noticed their disgust they didn’t seem to care. In fact the only notice they gave of their guests was when they’d grab uneaten food from their crude plates to stuff into their already overstuffed mouths. ("You gonna eat that, love? No? I’ll have it then!") Louric told Og everything that had happened to Harold that they knew and Og frowned, which made him look even uglier than before. "Well even those fairies wouldn’t have been fool enough, or powerful enough to do any magic like that. I’ll bet it’s that Woeland fellow up there. If anybody’s behind it he is, mark my words! Well we’ll soon take care of that!" and then louder so that the other trolls stopped slobbering over their food long enough to listen. "Tomorrow the lot of us is going around the borders of Fairyland to Woeland where we’re gonna get us a wizard to tell us what he’s done to our buddy Harold! Are ye with me?!" And a roar rose up again which caused bits of food to be spat her and there and there was more banging of clubs which scared the horses in the distance to the point where some of the elves left to calm them. This lead to more eating and a few disputes over what food came from whose plate. This led to quite a few obscene words being shouted louder and louder and some out and out fighting as they smashed each other with clubs while roaring angrily while Og watched the proceedings and took another sip of his trollish ale (which no mortal man or woman should ever have to smell, much less drink.) Louric, Tessy and the rest of the elves thought it best to slip off to sleep. That night as Tessy and Louric lay awake as the others tried to sleep as best as they could to the sounds of trolls snoring and making other sorts of bodily noises. Tessy turned to Louric. "Why doesn’t anyone seem to like the fairies?" she asked. Louric sighed. "The trolls don’t like anyone, not even themselves." "And why don’t the elves like them?" "I don’t know." the Prince sadly replied. "We were all united long ago against Krag but since then there’s been this prejudice between us. I don’t know how it started and I’m not sure they do either. Not all elves have ill feelings towards the fairies, of course, my father always taught me to respect all creatures of the earth, including fairies, and to regard them as brothers and sisters. I try to impart that to my subjects but....so many of these fears and prejudices are so deep that it’s hard to change them." "I’m actually quite anxious to meet them." said Tessy. "And I hope I make a good impression upon them." Louric kissed his beloved Princess and held her in his arms. "I am sure you will, my Fairest Lady. For your grace and beauty would inspire love and devotion in even the hardest of hearts" The Princess kissed her Prince back. "Even Og?" she laughed. "Yes, even Og" said Louric, "From what I know of trolls, I think he was actually quite reserved in your presence." "Well if that’s him on his best behavior, I’d hate to see him at his worst." said the Princess as she and Louric drifted off to sleep in each others arms where they remained until morning. FAIRYLAND That morning they set out again and were glad to leave Troll Mountain, even though the trolls had proven more hospitable than they had expected. Og made a point to personally escort Tessy and the elves to the northern borders of their country and with him came two very ugly very bruised and very large trolls to act as honor guard. They rode silently behind their grotesque guides, covering their noses discreetly and not daring to say anything that the trolls would take offense to. The trolls didn’t seem to notice this and conversed among themselves in a crude language that sounded somewhere between growling and clearning their throats, punctuated by the occasional belch and gastric release. They knew when they’d come to the borders when the trolls turned abruptly and walked away without saying goodbye. "Well, they’re certainly a friendly lot." said the Princess, a little put off by their rudeness. "I heard Og say that he and a contingent of his...um..people were going to set off for Woeland as soon as he returned." said Louric as he led the elves to find a trail among the rocks and bracken. If the elves thought that their way would be easier now that they were out of the troll’s country they were soon convinced otherwise, as the terrain was rough and growing progressively rougher. There were little or no wild berries growing in that area and even less wildlife. The few streams that they passed contained no fish and so elf biscuits and water, severely rationed, was their breakfast and lunch and dinner that day. At night they examined the map to see how far away from Fairyland they were. "We’re actually quite close." said Bouris tersely. "They sure don’t make this area too hospitable do they?" "They mostly use their wings to travel." said Louric. "And from what I understand they like their privacy. "Trolls to the south and Ogres to the north." said Princess Tessy. "I don’t wonder why." "Well we should be at the borders of Fairyland by mid day." said Louric and addressing the rest of the party he continued. "And I expect all of you to treat the fairies with courtesy and respect! Whatever differences we may have with the fairy people, this is the time to put them aside and concentrate on finding Harold. If the Dark Wizard is indeed behind this then he has become more powerful than we suspect and we’ll all need to stand together as one if we ever hope to defeat him. So I don’t want anyone starting any fights or arguments with the fairies or whoever does will answer to me!. Is that understood?" The elves all grudgingly agreed and they made camp and passed around the biscuits and water. Some sang and told stories to try to lift their spirits again but the arduous journey had taken its toll and one by one they drifted off to sleep. They did not sleep long. At first a startled whinney from Alabaster and then Onyx and then the rest of the horses awoke them all abruptly. What they saw they first thought was a meteor storm but it was too close and too erratic. What appeared to be bright sparks grew brighter and flashed and passed all around the bewildered elves. And then the lights began to grow and shoot around in circular patterns forming a matrix of light the center of which began to grow more and more brilliant with each passing second. Some of the elves covered their eyes and turned their heads others stared as though mesmerized. Tessy did the latter as she had never seen anything like this before. She clasped Louric’s hand and saw that he was just as mesmerized. The lights spun faster and grew larger as did the light in the center. Princess Tessy gasped audibly as she saw the lights take on a vaguely human form. The one in the middle especially slowly transformed into a woman composed it seemed entirely by light. She wore a brilliant shimmering gown, that shimmered even more than the finery Princess Tessy wore at the castle. (which is saying quite a lot.) Slowly she began to make out the features of this woman. She was very pale all over. Her hair was the blondest Tessy had ever seen, almost white but composed of every other color at the same time. Her gown shimmered red, then blue then green then every other color she could think of as well as some she had never seen before. Her skin was pale too, pale and fair, not sickly pale, but pale as one who has light inside of her. Princess Tessy, indeed all of the company, was speechless with awe at what was displayed before her. The other lights began to take a vaguely human form as well. And all of them were fair and pale and bright. It was hard to tell the men from the woman but Princess Tessy surmised that the one in the center must be their Queen, as indeed she was. "My name is Queen Fiara." said the bright lady as her light and the lights around her dimmed, although the valley was still bright and seemed to be composed of lush vegetation and colorful gemstones where they once were unforgiving rocks. "Why have the elves of Prince Louric brought Princess Tessy of Happy World to Fairyland?" Prince Louric stepped forward and bowed low. "Your highness." he said. "Our friend Harold has disappeared after answering a summons from you and we seek to find or avenge him if necessary." (Although this seemed rather abrupt, it is best to address a fairy in this manner, plain and to the point. They have little or no patience to stand on ceremony, elabroate entrances notwithstanding.) "I sent no such summons to poor Harold, although we know of his misfortune." said The Fairy Queen. "Harold, despite his ancient wisdom is often too trusting. That makes it easy for fiends like Krag to deceive him. We have seen signs of trouble and this is merely the latest. We must move swiftly and decisively or all will be lost." There was murmuring among the elves, some of it hostile. This made Louric bristle but before he could speak Queen Fiara turned to them. "We are not in league with Krag." she said calmly. "And would never do anything to harm or deceive Harold. Harold is just as much our friend as he is yours and it has always pained him to see such distrust between our peoples. I think that we should put that aside, at least temporarily as your Prince has suggested, For as he says, we will need to stand together." "What shall we do first?" said Louric, feeling strangely rejuvenated. The Fairy Queen smiled radiantly. "Our first move young Prince." she said. "Is to feed you and your company. While I’m sure your elf biscuits are substantial, we fairies do pride ourselves on the fine table we set." Almost on command a long table laden with the most delicious food they had ever seen appeared out of nowhere. The elves looked at one another and at the table as if unsure what to do. "I’m sure you will find our food more palatable than that of the trolls. And I hope that you are wise enough not to believe that rubbish about fairies trapping people with their food. Had we wished to capture you, all of you would have been bound and imprisoned before you even awoke." Some of the fairies were moving towards the horses who nuzzled them and accepted sweets and fruits from their hands. Some of the elf women laughed and finally Tyara stepped forward. "Well if you guys don’t want any." she said. "It’ll be all the more for me and my sister. Come Lia" she said as the two sat down at the table and began helping themselves." "Please excuse their rudeness, Your Highness." said Prince Louric indicating his company, "We will are honored by your hospitality." Princess Tessy followed Prince Louric to the head of the table after bowing graciously to the Queen, she would have curtseyed very low and gracefully if she had been wearing a gown of course and Queen Fiara smiled as if she knew this. Slowly the others followed and soon they were all eating hungrily. It was only when the fairy servants were removing and replacing platters that Tessy had noticed their translucent wings. And also she noticed how graceful their movements were. She remembered how people had compared her ice skating to a fairy skimming across the pond and she soon realized what a grand compliment that truly was. The elves soon found their spirits rising and the hills rang with laughter from both the elves and the fairies, whose laughter was like the finest music every played. Some of the fairies played on stringed harp like instruments and sang some of the most beautiful songs that anybody there had ever heard. Anybody who would have seen the fairy feast would never have guessed that elves and fairies were anything but the best of friends. As soon as the elves had, one by one, decided that they had eaten all they could, the food slowly began to fade away and soon the table was empty except for goblets and flagons of some excellent wine and Queen Fiara (whom nobody had seen to join the feast) sat down near Princes Louric and Princess Tessy on a small throne that appeared as quickly as the dining table. "We never would have needed Harold’s aid against the ogres. Our magic is so powerful that they could never hope to invade Fairyland, if indeed they could find it. This whole area appears to be rough and rocky terrain unless we will it otherwise. You elves have your own secrets of not being seen too, of course." The Queen smiled at Princess. "And I have heard much of the beautiful Princess Tessy." she said. "And I daresay that even a fairy would lose his heart to one such as you." The Princess murmered a thank you, while blushing deeply. " Your ancestor would be very proud of you, fair Princess. And I can see you are as brave as you are beautiful." "Your majesty is too kind" said the Princess. Queen Fiara smiled again and then became serious. "We saw Harold of course, the day he vanished. He was flying over our country searching for Fairyland. We usually signal him when he comes to visit which we did at that time, but just as we did, we saw a blinding flash from the north and then he was gone. Only Krag could have that type of magic, the Krag of old. We have seen ogres coming and going from Woeland, for they are the only ones who can come and go from there, and we sensed that something was afoot. We have heard whispers of revolt brewing in Woeland and also of darker things. Our ancestors were merciful, perhaps too much so, in imprisoning Krag in Woeland. They could not have guessed that he would lure other luckless travelers to his land to torment for his own amusement or that he would ally himself with the ogres and rebuild his strength. If he is powerful to trap Harold then he is far too powerful. This time he must be destroyed." Prince Louric bowed his head sadly at this grave pronoucnment. Elves are fierce warriors of course, but most try to avoid killing as much as possible. To take any life is, to them, a grave thing. Even killing for food carries a lot of weight with them and they will often sing a song of thanks and apology to the soul of the animal they have killed for their food. "The question is." he said. " How. We cannot enter Woeland without being trapped there and we still have no idea what fate has befallen Harold." "You forget, Prince Louric, that the eyes of the fairy see far more than most people realize. I know not how, but the secret lies within the fiery gem that Krag wears. The gem that once was black but now burns with crimson fire!" "Could he have used that to trap Harold?" said Princess Tessy. "I have told you all that I know, Dear Princess." said the Queen. "The rest we must discover for ourselves." A NASTY SURPRISE Before another word could be said a loud and terrible roar and the loud beating of wings filled the air. The moon and stars were blacked out by the sudden appearance of thousands of winged ogres swooping down on Fairyland. "Impossible!" said the Queen. "How could they have penetrated our defenses?!!" "To arms! To arms!" cried Louric as the elves drew their swords and bows and stood ready to fight. Suddenly over the crest of the hill ogres without wings sprang up and surrounded the band. They were even uglier than the trolls, larger thinner with long curved fangs and horns. They were even more terrible in the light of the Fairyland. Queen Fiara spoke up loudly. "How dare you defile our earth with your accursed presence!" The ogres laughed at this. "Hee hee, you weren’t kidding Queenie when you said Krag was powerful. Even your puny fairy magic is no match for us. We’re here to make a deal. You let us take Princess Tessy here to Woeland." he said pointing at the frightened looking Princess. "and we put off destroying the lot of you. Otherwise we’ll destroy you all now...and take the Princess." "You’ll not take her while any of us lives!" said Louric with a roar of agreement from the assembled elves and fairies. "I was hoping you’d say that!" said the ogre leader, raising his ugly and fearsome looking mace. Just then Queen Fiara blasted him with a bolt of pure light which dissolved him where he stood. Almost on cue the ogres immediately charged from the air and the land. The battle was fierce and terrible. However, despite their disadvantage at being taken by surprise, the elves and fairies were able to soon turn the tide in their favor. Princess Tessy, although terrified, was glad to find that her newly learned fighting skills served her well in immediately disabling two very ugly looking land ogres and, grabbing a bow and arrow that had fallen (who had fallen? She didn’t have time to think.) she had been able to drop a winged one that was bearing down on Prince Louric who was already quite busy with two ogres of his own. Her triumph was short lived however, as she didn’t notice the winged ogre swooping down upon her until it was too late. Clasping her by the wrists, he immediately and roughly bore her upwards too quickly for her to cry out for aid. Upon seeing their objective accomplished, The other ogres followed suit and quickly fled from the badly shocked and shaken Fairyland. IN THE CLUTCHES OF KRAG "Well well well, your Highness." said Krag mockingly as the ogres led Tessy, her hands bound behind her, into his chamber. "It is indeed an honor to welcome you as my guest." "I cannot say I feel honored to accept your invitation." said the Princess coldly. Her eyes immediately went to the fiery gem hanging from Krag’s neck. Remembering what the Fairy Queen had said, she vowed that one way or another she would seize the gem and discover its secret. "Well my dear. I am glad to see you. I will have to keep your hands tied until I am sure you won’t make any move against me. I would rather not have to torture you if I can help it." he said as the ogres seemed more than eager to do so. "What do you want of me?" said the Princess. "Nothing less than your hand in marriage, dear Princess!" he replied as Princess Tessy felt a shiver run through her. "And what do you hope to gain from that?" said the Princess coldly. "Your ancestor used the magic of the elves and fairies combined to trap me here and as much as I enjoy terrorizing these simpering weaklings who live here I find that I cannot abide here forever. I have harnessed the secret of your all too trusting dragon and can use it to conquer and rule the world with ease, however, it is still not powerful enough to break this ancient spell. My ogres are but minions but since the spell specifically applies to me then it keeps me trapped in this cursed land. Only by a voluntary liason with the throne of Happy World will I be able to break the spell. It was your thrice cursed ancestor who put me here and according to the ancient texts of sorcery only by marriage to one of his blood can I ever hope to be free of this spell. And that, my dear is why it is necessary for you to consent to marriage unto me." "Well then." said Princess Tessy defiantly. "In that case you will remain trapped here no matter how powerful you think you are, for I will never consent to marriage with such a vile and loathsome monster as yourself." "Ha!" the wizard retorted. "You forget that I possess many unpleasant methods of making you change your mind! And change your mind you will. Guards!" he called to the two fearsome ogres who escorted the Princess into the castle. "Take my guest down to the deepest dankest most foulest dungeon, bind her in the heaviest chains you can find in the most uncomfortable position you can devise! After a week, bring her back and see how she feels about my proposal then." "Righty, you heard him! Let’s move" said the ogre pushing Tessy forward roughly. The Princess knew that she could not escape from chains so the time to act was now. Being half led and half dragged down the stairwell leading to the dungeon did not inhibit her concentration as she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. With the next push she gave a tug at her bonds and they fell from her wrists as though they were mere paper. Before the ogres had realized what had happened she had done a quick back flip towards him and kicked him full force in a part of the body that not even a male ogre likes to be kicked in. Leaping over the ogre, doubled up in pain she grabbed the mace and, barely noticing the weight, immediately clubbed the other one across the side of the head sending him flying down the stairs to an unconscious heap at the bottom. Dropping the mace, the Princess immediately ran back up the stairs and hid in the curtains just outside the evil wizard’s chamber. Catching her breath she thought of all she had seen on her way over. The desolation and misery below her were apparent, even in the brief glimpse she had of Woeland and it was the good Princess’s determination that Krag must be defeated, not only for Harold and for Happy World, but to free all the sad and miserable people from the Dark Lord’s tyranny. Stealthily, she peaked into the doorway where she saw Krag conferring with another one of his loathsome ogres. "Sire", he said. "The people are revolting!" "That’s only natural." Krag replied. "As we outlawed bathing years ago. It’s all I can do to look at most of them." "um...what I mean, Dark one, is that they’re rising up and preparing to storm the castle and with them they have, well..trolls sir." "TROLLS! TROLLS!? You think that I, KRAG the most FEARED WIZARD IN THE WORLD AM AFRAID OF TROLLS?!! I WILL SHOW YOU WHAT I THINK OF TROLLS!!" he said taking off his medallion and holding it aloft out of the open window. Tessy heard him recite what she guessed must have been a spell of some sort and saw the gem begin to glow. If there was a time to act, she thought, that time was now. As quietly as she could, she crept into the chamber and seized the first thing that she could, which in this case was a discarded wine jug. Without warning she hurled it with all her might and hit the wizard directly in his lower back causing him to drop the medallion. "NOOOOO!!" he cried spinning around to confront the Princess. "You fool! Don’t you realize what you have done?!!" Before another word could be uttered a loud deafening cry of rage rose up from where the gemstone fell and the room the castle and the sky all around seemed to glow and burn an ominous red. THE WRATH OF HAROLD Princess Tessy quickly retreated to the doorway and crouched and hid upon seeing the flash, which was immediately followed by intense heat. Krag, frozen in terror stood dumbfounded and dumbly stared into the blazing light. An angry voice permeated the entire castle, the angriest voice that the Princess had ever heard or cared to. "YOU DARE!? YOU DARE TO IMPRISON ME AND USE MY POWER FOR YOUR OWN EVIL PURPOSES?!! EONS AGO YOU WERE SHOWN MERCY!! MERCY THAT YOU WERE SORELY UNWORTHY OF!!! AND NOW I WILL SPARE MANY MORE WORTHIER LIVES BY ENDING YOUR FOUL AND WASTED EXISTENCE." And then there was a deafening roar and a blast of heat so great that the Princess felt that she would burn on the spot, that even the stone wall that she hid behind was in danger of melting. Louder than the roar of the flame was agonized scream of the evil wizard as he quickly incinerated. That was, in fact, the last thing the Princess had heard before she lost consciousness completely. After what felt like an eternity in darkness the Princess began to be aware of a bright and brilliant light. At first she thought the whole episode was a dream and she was back in the Happy world castle but she soon saw that she was in a soft feather bed in a room that glowed and glimmered with many facets of jewels and gemstones. She was back in Fairyland. "Tessy! You have awakened." said a voice she recognized as Louric’s. Immediately she arose from the bed and threw her arms around the elfin Prince. Their lips met in a long and passionate kiss that ended only when the Princess began to feel dizzy once again. "You are still to weak for that sort of nonsense." said a matronly looking fairy, presumably some sort of nurse, as she helped the Princess back to bed and made her drink from a glass of very sweet tasting wine. "But, but, how did I get here? I was in Krag’s castle the last I remember. And..." "And you freed Harold who in turn destroyed Krag. He then found you where you hid, overcome by the heat and carried you back to Fairyland. The spell has been broken and the people of Woeland are free once again." "It all happened so fast." said the Princess. "It feels like, well like a dream, How long was I out?" "Three days" said Louric. "Time enough for us to heal our own wounded and" he added sadly. "Bury our dead." "Louric...who....." said Tessy shocked by those last words. "The night you were taken we lost two, Rodric was stuck down immediately as was Simor. Lia was mortally wounded and she died in Tyara’s arms before we could apply our healing potions and" he said with tears in his eyes. "We also lost Bouris. He was struck down protecting Queen Fiara." Tessy reached up and wiped the tear from his eye and he bent over and rested his head in her lap sobbing gently. Tessy had only met Bouris once but could tell that Louric considered him a very dear friend. She stroked his hair and tried to think of appropriate words to say but couldn’t. So she just put her arms around him and let his tears flow. Finally he wiped his eyes and smiled. "There is some good news, however. Tisroc, whom we almost lost is fully recovered thanks to our healing poitions and the magic of the fairies and his bravery and courage are everything I could hope for in a brother in law. "You mean....." said Tessy. "Yes, he and my sister, Serafin are to be married as soon as we return home." "And they will be our guests in Happy World, of course." said Tessy happily. "I will declare a holiday and we will celebrate this union and..." "We have much to celebrate, Fair Princess,." came a voice from the bedroom doorway. It was Queen Fiara. "Woeland is free of woe and Princess Tessy now has thousands of grateful new subjects. And I sense that this is a also the beginning of a new friendship between the elves and the fairies, all because of your courage and resourcefulness." "I can’t believe it ended so quickly!" said the Princess. "As dangerous as he was" "Sometimes things are worse than we think they are," said the Queen. "And sometimes they are not as bad. It is best to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Speaking of which. I have loaned you my best nightgown, Fair Princess, do you find it comfortable?" So much had occurred and been said that neither she nor Louric noticed it. Looking down, Tessy saw that she was wearing a gown that looked as though it were made of spun gold but was softer than the softest silk. Like everything else the fairies wore, it seemed to change color with each slight movement.. "It...it is wonderful, Your Highness! Thank you" she said getting up to curtsey but feeling weak again. Louric had knelt next to the bed and kissed her hand. "Fair Princess" he said. "Your beauty enhances it’s radiance beyond the brightest star of the heavens." At this the Queen smiled. "Fair Princess, it is not often that the Queen of Fairies envies a human, so savor this moment. And please keep the gown as a gift. Many more will I send along and I hope that you will consider me a friend." "Thank you, Your Highness." said the Princess. "I am sure that we will be." "Well then," said the Queen with a smile. "You can start by dispensing with this "Your Highness" nonsense. My name is Fiara." NEW BEGINNINGS It wasn’t long before Princess Tessy was again well enough to leave her bed and see what had occurred. Overall, Fairyland had quickly recovered from the attack and all seemed to be well. Many individuals, however, would not. Tyara, usually so bright and happy, greatly felt the loss of her sister and found a comforting friend in Princess Tessy. Although she always knew that Lia would die on her feet the reality of it was more than she was prepared to accept. Louric missed Bouris as well and seemed to have a hole inside of him where his friend once was. The Fairies had lost many in the battle as well but they were not so quick in showing their grief. "When a fairy dies." said Fiara. "They become part of everything that is. We believe that this is the same for all who pass away. They become part of everything that exists and they either stay there or have their essence reborn in another time and another place. Our love for them and our fond memories are what keep them alive inside of us. We do not feel the loss when they die, we celebrate their union with all there is and rejoice at having known them. In this way we create what some call Heaven for them and they never really leave us." Tessy later found Harold some small distance away and called out to him. The dragon bowed his head as best as he could to the Princess. "Princess Tessy." he said. "It gladdens my heart to see you alive and well. I’m afraid my flame was too much for you. I’m sorry." "It’s okay. Harold." she replied. "You couldn’t have known. Anyway, if I were trapped inside a gem like that I would have been pretty angry myself." "That is a side of myself I never like to show." said Harold. "Dragons pride themselves on being even tempered. We have to be since we command such great power. And to take a life, any life, is a greater burden on us then it is to anyone, even to the elves." "What happened exactly?" said Tessy. "I’m not sure myself, Dear Princess. I was sucked into the gem, which trapped me in a dimension unknown and unknowable. Every time I tried to blast my way out the flame was trapped in the many facets of the jewels and later used for the Wizard’s evil purposes. It was a dark and terrible form of magic he used, the sort that I’m glad to say has long since been forgotten. Had we known back then that he had such knowledge....." And then he trailed off. Tessy put her arms around his snout and gave him a great big hug. Tears came to her eyes as she realized for the first time how much she’d missed her dear friend Harold. And the people of Woeland spent days in celebration at the defeat of the Wizard but did not neglect the new duties that came with their freedom. They all voted unanimously to change the name of their country to Tessyland, in honor of their brave beautiful liberator. Tessy graciously stated that the real credit goes to Harold but Harold reminded her that had she not caused the jewel to fall that she never would have freed him. The Princess vowed to discuss future alliances with the Bears and that all of Tessyland’s citizens would be welcome in Happy World whenever they wished to come. After this proclamation they begged her to stay and rule over them but Princess Tessy had her own kingdom to return to and so they decided to elect their own leader as Prime Minister and set up a senate to decide the best ways to govern themselves. So finally the time came for them to depart. The Fairy Queen and the Happy World Princess shared one last embrace, as did all the other elves who enjoyed their newfound friendship with the fairies. Not all of the mistrust had been erased, of course, but the seeds to a new understanding had been planted and would grow stronger in the future. They rode north to avoid the Troll Mountain as their victory celebration sounded a little to wild for them to wish to ride in the middle of. There was a great deal of singing and laughter but a few did not join in, sadly thinking of their fallen comrades entombed in Fairyland. When they returned to the mountains surrounding Harold’s cave , two days later they were met by a very worried palace guard who dropped to their knees immediately upon seeing the Prince and Princess. "We have been searching for you for a week, Fair Princess!" cried the Captain. "Mr. Bear and Lady Bear have been worried that you haven’t returned and sent us to look for you!" Princess Tessy blushed with embarrassment when she realized that in all the excitement of setting off for their mission, she had quite forgotten to send the Bears word of where she was going. "I’m sure I’ll hear of this when I return to the palace." sighed Tessy. And she did. But the Bears, upon hearing of her adventures, found themselves quite proud of their Princess and how she had handled herself. Prince Louric was as well as were all the elves and everyone else who loved her. The End. Big thank you and more *hugs* from me and all hugfriends in Happy World to the great writer in Hollywood.
